  1. The only problem I have with the legion go is that the maximum GPU config is a RTX 4060. I have the 4080 G14, and that extra power really comes in handy for running Cities: skylines 2 at 1600p.

  2. I pulled the trigger on the Legion Slim 5 14. And I'm impressed so far. Seeing that a similarly speced G14 is not only more expensive, but slower in alot of categories is rather interesting to see. I'm glad the faster Ram on the Legion makes up for not being able to have 32gb of Ram with the 7940HS CPU. And the G14 has a 240w power brick compared to the 170w on the Legion. So Lenovo did a much better job with this machine since it seems Asus just throws more watts at the solution instead of trying to optimize it.

This is replacing my late Legion 7 with RTX 3080 and 5900X. And while the graphics card is a bit slower the overall experience is negligible. Plus the Slim 5 is so much lighter. It's crazy how powerful it is for the size.

  3. I ordered a Legion and should arrive next week. The reasons why I picked it, better cooling, HDMI 2.1, dual nvme as I need to also run Linux, and the Oled. Plus it is cheaper, it is a killer laptop.

    Great comparison.

  4. Good comparison – thanks. I have G14 from 2021 because I'm on the go so much. With that in mind the OLED screen on the Legion would probaby give me problems, as I can't always control the lighting environment when I'm out and about. Otherwise, the Legion looks good. One thing to keep in mind is that it is very easy these days for G14 owners to lower the wattage going into the CPU.

  5. Hey Tech Guy Beau. I've been waiting for your vivobook 16 pro review! and I saw this deal today.
how would you compare the Lenovo Legion 5 Slim vs the Asus Vivobook Pro 16?
looking forward to your reply as I don't know which I would want to keep 🙂

  6. Just got my slim 5 14” in the mail. I clearly got a dud, cause my experience has been awful. Won’t recognize 4060, GeForce drivers won’t install, error code 43, blue screen once already, and when I do restart it never starts back up. I have to hold the power button to shut it down and manually turn it on again. And Lenovo is horrible to deal with on the return side. Really sucks, but I do plan to order another one to give it another go

  7. Hello, I bought a Lenovo Legion 7 Slim and the battery lasts about 3-4 hours watching YouTube videos, when it should be about 8-10 hours, I have already removed the background applications, adjusted the Windows settings and installed the drivers, do you know why this can happen?
