  1. Thank you so much for the amount of detail tricks and tips you put into this video! Hard to find these days. So I need a little guidance here all knowledge is welcomed. So I’m a 100% service connected disabled combat veteran who is on a fixed income and I have a 16 hellcat auto. It’s been down for years now last dodge told me was 3500 bucks it’s a cam lifter failure didn’t even have an mis code but you can tell it’s missing. So drove it very sparingly easy when I had to but eventually got a bit worse and I parked it for years until now when I had the money to buy the parts and upgrade what I could to not only fox the issue but make it better and faster. Going to be on 93 the majority of the time I don’t have e85 where I’m at. Have boostane. So shopping around now and basically what I gather is mmx hhp are good for parts however tuning and cams that’s a bit select especially when your wanting both plus good go fast parts that you don’t get quality in a package from most of these shops. Like livernoise boast a cam that doesn’t require cam phase limiter?dusterhoff offers a cam package tune injectors boosts pump tune and software for like 4 plus k.Torn between shop for parts and software they use being Diablo or hhp like which is better and what do I need for remote tuning? Wanting to get an upper litens 2.85 upper clutched pulley, pin crank, fic 1000, blower gaskets bearings, engine gasket kit, arp hardware, belt, push rods, lifters, valve seals, retainers, springs cam, software, tune, boosts pump for now to broke 😂. Any and all info is extremely welcomed. Would like to have a nice chop but nothing crazy to where I’m going to lose street ability needing a converter. Also I understand headers help out a lot with cam how true is this on a hellcat and do you lose any down low punch. Ideally would like it to have power every where but I know it’s just moving power around especially when the limiter or lock is added I guess that’s the sacrifice for lift. exactly what is the max lift before you need one of these to save you piston from kissing the valve? Also my car has 49k on it so would there be anything to specifically to look for in a miss firing hellcat upon opening it up based on miles and sitting for so long when I do this? I know fuel must be drained and all fluids from the motor. Going to re do the cooling system as well while I’m in there and ac. So quite a bit to do. Any and all info regarding these issues from anyone who knows more than me is welcome. I know my way around things not a stranger to mechanics grew up in a shop but never cracked a hemi hellcat 6.2 before. Done a lot of research over the years but pays to ask because you never know what you don’t know until your screwed 😂

  2. Awesome build btw. Quick question, what are the differences between mmx ported hellcat heads and mmx ported redeye heads? Also, do you have an install video of timing cover & oil pump?

  3. When doing rocker assemblies i put a dab of assembly lube on top of the valve stem and the tips and cups of the push rods.
It helps keep the push rod cup stay attached to the rocker ball/cup and it also adds a bit of lubrication during initial start up and or turning it over by hand.
Depending on how much they took off when they decked the head surface and or the block surface i like to check piston to valve clearance where the rockers are not adjustable i know some say it is overkill and my machine shop is pretty good about telling me what they removed a couple thousandths here and there add up ie: align hone the crank journals, deck the block, deck the heads……crank moves up in block 2 thousandths deck the block 3 thousands and then take 3 thousands off the heads…that puts pistons higher in the bore and drops valve down closer to the piston also makes the push rod longer but i am thinking if MMX did all the machine work they would tell you what you would need to do but i am sure the pistons were cut with valve reliefs …i learned the hard way on a 340 year's back….i did the assembly for a freind and " he said everything was good to go" well the heads were decked and the block and the person he bought it from said it was never rebuilt prior….. well it was and decking the block and heads again put the valves in striking distance and bent all the intake valves if i had the intake manifold i would have caught it but i didn't because he was waiting for the 6 pak kit he bought to get delivered……but seems like its going to be a killer motor surprised you didn't go with a red-eye supercharger…. because who has $9k sitting around for a Whipple…lol…..👍👌✌️
