I would give the high beam a score of 2 out of 10. Low beam a solid 6. But that high beam looks next to useless.
It's hard to compare like that, but I don't think it's worse than the 2004 fiesta headlight

Testing in twilight is not going to reveal how good or bad the headlights are. I'm sure they are not premium quality, but up against the half-lit gloaming they really won't shine. 🤪

These headlights are really bad… I think I see more with my halogen headlights on high beams on my Twingo Electric 😂

3 out of 10. That high beam is verry poor.
I can confirm, that the headlights are really not good. I miss the adaptive LED headlights from my former Mazda CX-5 (from 2017). It is not a great issue in my daily usage and I understand that adaptive headlights are not common in this segment.
Not much difference between high and low beams.
it is a city car, all Chinese cities are well lit at night.

There are millions of old and new ICE vehicles on the road with lights no better or even worse than the BYD Dolphin and no one cares…!!!
Some dolphin owners in Malaysia have changed to aftermarket projector LED's and the difference is night and day. Very good investment i must say
Looks like the poor highbeam of classic Ioniq with LED lights – I wonder if such poor light is really tested being legal – or one needs to revisit legal minimums

The bare minimum high beam 😄 oh you dream of seeing further up the road than this standard low beam? Okay… THERE 🧐 you can now technically see further up the road and if you want to see anything else to the sides or even further ahead then you'll have to build your dreams yourself 🙂 i guess deer in China never move onto the road from the sides
If it was darker you would see how good these lights actually are.
Wow…pretty bad. Okay in the city I guess. The worst lights ever were the BYD Tang you tested in 2022. Even the low beams were lousy.
You want the deer to eat and get fat now, hunt them in the autumn.
Maybe they don't have nighttime in China:p but seriously this car needs a LEDbar.

But I would give it 3/10 from what I see in the video.
I don't think the BYD cars will be a cheap car in Europe, as the EU countries are sticking high import taxes to try and protect the European car industry from the cheap subsidised imported Chinese cars
