Sony has just released their new ZV-E1 camera. It uses the same full frame sensor from the Sony FX3, FX6, and AS7III but comes in a compact size. David is here to unbox it and give his initial thoughts, so…

Scared about the overheating for use in more tropical locations
I think this info is inaccurate, can someone confirm? There's not even a micro USB port on this camera. Minute 15:08 https://youtu.be/jvnzE-IzVF0?si=z6bThgp8ankvn4DD&t=908
Same USB adapter to jam timecode? How come? this camera has microUSB port like FX-3? thank you for the beautiful in depht video
Degrees celsius! Thank you
I had Sony A7 Mark I with Samyang 14mm f/2.8 FE
And i've decided to buy something new.
I've taken Sony ZV-E1 with Samyang 35-150 f/2-2.8 FE
Is your video sponsored by Sony?
Cheaper plastic construction and no weather sealing vs A7C… hmm
Edzel should take over. I wish he did more videos.
Is the 3.5 mm jack also usable for a microphone? like, if I want my camera 2 meters away from me and I have a microphone in front of me…can I use this 3.5 mm jack for that mic?
Compared to my zv e10, that's probably final packaging
What about Olympus EM/Fuji X series or even Panasonic GX series?
I love the editor calling the ZV-E10 an A7 IV, and linking to an A7 IV video while he talks about the ZV-E10…..
What is a prosesor?
Not true. This is not the same sensor you get in the $6,000 cameras. It is the same sensor you get in the $3,500 cameras.
"the great thing is that they PACKED everything in here."
"But the problem is the way they PACKED everything in here."
The good part: you can get all the quality of a bigger camera.
The bad part: you can only get it for 30 seconds.
It's honestly kinda surprising that we don't have some modern cameras with some sort of semi-exposed(heavily vented housing or something) heat sink on the end of a heat pipe or something. Heat rejection seems like the primary Achilles heel of most 'higher performance' cameras forever now, always seems to be a duty cycle limitation, and seemingly no options to do anything about it.
Maybe Frore's AirJet will be the solution? I guess time will tell.
Everything about it is perfect except the price. I say wait until the price goes down during a sale or second hand market.
what is the point of these anymore?
ЧЗХ Сони поддерживает СВО???
Why are we building cameras with overheating issues, this camera had potential, well not anymore!
After doing enough research I got a lumix s5 ii and a sigma 24-70 f2.8 for 2700$. Sony can't compete
This looks like a great camera but I wouldn't call a 2300$ camera entry level.
I want to jump in from the point of view of a camera retail worker, the ZV-E1 doesn't make enough sense as a product for a customer to be wildly successful imo. The great low resolution sensor is mismatched with it's specialized features like auto reframing, because even though it does 4k it does 4k b a r e l y, so it crops in and loses resolution.
As other people have pointed out the overheating kills its potential for high output vlogging and the huge file qualities and sizes make little to no sense for casual content creators.
Also in order to get the quality out of the full frame sensor customers need to spend at least another 400-500 on a single decent lens, not even a strong zoom. So if it's not appealing to influencer creators it should appeal to high end vloggers or semi pros, well they already own an a7s iii, or maybe even an fx3.
If I really wanted to put a kit together for a vlogger I'd use a smaller sensor camera so they could use smaller sensor lenses and save the extra money and weight for a decent mic and ND filters
Fx30 better
What is the material from which the Sony ZV-E1 is made? Polycarbonate or metal (magnesium or aluminum)?
the zve1 is just a slap to the face for any a7siii buyers. im just a little ticked off with the lack of firmware support
me carrying strobes , soft boxes with Nikon and the other guy chilling with a Sony in his sling bag "lemme cry "
In case you don't know Brandon left the LTT company and started his own YouTube channel.
I just gave him a curtesy subscription to his channel :

Damn I’ve been out of the camera game for years ever since the a7iii came out. Haven’t been keeping up with the trends as my iPhone seems to have taken the casual snap shot role needs
Did you try dummy battery? to avoid heat?
this must be a sony sponsorship, there are tons of good full-frame milc cameras out there from nikon, canon, panasonic, etc.
Does it do focus bracketing/stacking?
Yeah, the heat issue is dumb. It shouldn't have a time limit at all. So many moments I couldn't capture because Sony overheats 🤦♂
As a camcorder user I would love to see sony put this sort of sensor and features into a camera with the form factor and optical image stabilisation of the AX53. That would be my dream camera.
Hi there! Great video!! However, regarding Temperature, can it be used as camera source to stream 2+ hours on 1080p or also will get knocked off ?
It bothers me how aggressive he handles the camera. Nice review but jeez dude chill with that thing lmao
Its a very expensive vlogging camera lol
What a waste.
I thought it has the same sensor as the A7s III, and not the A7s II
Sony has started to do what CaNikon used to do. Incredibly slow incremental upgrades, and then charging their victims extortionate amounts of wonga for the privilege.
Luckily Canon and Nikon have super upped their game . Booyaaaah!
Also Sony has the worst aftercare service, warranty is useless. Make sure you get the extended cover. You have been warned.
The only thing they seem to be doing right, is taking care of their army of social media influencers 😅 its definitely working for them.
Those strap things what are they called? I use the strap the came with my camera and it's just so bad. So i would like to buy a new strap but one that can be used with those "clip-on" strap things, for ease of mounting it to my setup after use
That's an expensive budget camera xF
