  1. That is a crucial point. No modern messaging between iPhone and Android just means more Meta based messaging. Meta are already beating Apple in this space globally.

  2. Europeans from EU countries vote for this by voting for their respective national parties. If the public of say Italy is against an EU rule, their government you'd expect would to listen.

  3. While I agree that some of the results of the EU's regulatory slinging is kinda nice right now, I am not a fan of this small, unaccountable government body across the ocean deciding how all my tech works forever. I'm not sure what poor, unintended, hard to resolve side effects this will have, not to mention the unaccountability of the European government vs the ability of consumers in their respective countries of origin ability to influence companies using their purchases and loyalty

  4. Based on the response of the tech-bubble on YouTube usbc is literally the worst thing that happened to the iPhone, like ever! Faster transferspeeds, thousands of accessories that suddenly work with the iPhone without any issue, like ssds or sd-card (readers). The situation is so dismal and people seem to be so angry with Apple that I’m wondering if this is the beginning of the end of the iPhone. And it definitely will be if the EU forces Apple to enable side loading. It would be like on a Mac where you can randomly download software from the internet and install it on your MacBook. Given the reports of Macs that are unusable because of this I’m sure that this will be the end of the iPhone! … Please, stop sheeping and face the fact that Apple was purposefully not giving use the things that would have made the iPhone better just because they want to upsell us on things like storage and control the revenue streams on the App Store!

  5. I think Apple could become more powerful and richer if they open up the ecosystem for everything. Because maybe people that before didn´t buy an iPhone because of all the previous restrictions, now will get an iPhone because it works the way every other phone works.

  6. No, they can't if they want to sell in EU. Funny that MS and Google gets punished for monopoly, but Apple with 60% in general and 87% within young people do not get any.

  7. I have used apple phones for a spell now and have never wanted to wrench on one. I think that Apple could take the Elon Mush thinking “TAKE YOUR THOUGHTS AND SHOVE THEM”.🇺🇸🐻

  8. You gotta admit apple be on some bullshit. They are so selfishly anticonsumer. Likethese are all things that literally make sense. Defending them for some of these things are just nonsensical. Like holding onto lightning ONLY on the iphone and airpods??? Cmon man they bet away with it cuz folks just buy and buy and buy. Smfh

  9. Just want to say from your last video when you said Nothing might have played a role in RCS, they absolutely did not. iMessage existed on android for a while with workarounds. The real reason was because Thursday was the last day to submit appeals to the EU for the digital markets act. Apple chose to not appeal it. The announcement from Nothing played 0 role in it as if Apple had already planned an appeal they would have released it by then.

  10. I'm not a fan of Government regulation (looking at you auto and lightbulb industries) but so far the EU's regulations have been a good thing, which feels so weird to say.

The only drawback to USB-C being standard is now my family can steal my cables for the first time since they got iPhones, and I'm excited to see what happens with removable batteries.
