Oh boy, here we go again!
This 2011 Nissan Titan V8 lost communication with the ECM a year ago, and has been a BEACHED WHALE since.

The owner obtained a replacement used ECM and had a shop program it.
Truck actually started and ran, but was in LIMP MODE with no throttle control!

  1. I seriously doubt just answer told him to cut wires. The liability is so great on this site and similar that they wouldn't do that. I guess he may either misunderstood, misinterpreted, or just lied to hide his embarrassing situation 😂. Unless he can show a complete script of the chat.

  2. I am sure Amazon only sells quality parts : " lets find the cheapest source and then beat up the vendor for MORE " ! They come in a white box with no name / logo ! At best , Just Answer is an educated guess . They rely on information supplied by " expert customers " . Years back I had an intermittantly sticking evap purge valve on my 2.8 L Chevy . After discussion , I asked " do you think it could be intake gaskets " ? They said " I would replace them " . I ignored their " advice " , isolated the valve , found the problem and fixed it with a OEM part . Once these vehicles are molested , all bets are off .

  3. The question is, why the customer pays much money for "repairs" that not solved the problems?! Those customers are funny, want a discount from workshops that finally solve the problems but paid 100% for others who doesn't. 😂

  4. I have a 2005 titan and it wouldn't start sometimes ,come to find out the chip in the key wasnt connecting to the computer so i put a extra key on the instrument panel and left it there and it starts every time.

  5. Why would someone think they were capable enough to diagnose a broken truck when they think the answer is to ask justanswer who then advises him to cut wires to an ECU, Did he think Nissan put them wires there for fun, And then to ask for a discount. You can't make this stuff up Ivan.

  6. For a few minutes i thot i was watching just rolled in…. customer cut wires to ECM….is this person brain dead. Holy Hanna….give your head a shake. Then to have the nerve to ask for a discount. ….more nerve than a ruptured skunk

  7. Don't do it Ivan. Just be fair. Your tooling, knowledge and experience have to be compensated. They are paying for what they cannot do. Just saying, the old school guy.
