  1. @22:48 Nino mentions canon didn’t upgrade cameras that are super35 to full frame with a mark II moniker. This is true except for the C500 Mark II where the original version was super 35.

Japanese naming conventions are a bit of a mess. So who knows

  2. As a former employee for Sigma in Europe I can say that Sigma lenses have just as good AF capabilities as any Canon lens but Canon cripples the AF performance of third party lenses. We tried so many times to get them to let us use the full potential of their AF protocol but they refuse saying ”that’s only for our lenses”. So to be honest, Canon is just like Apple. Disgusting.

  3. As a R5C owner I'm really overwhelmed by choice right now. R5mkII color science doesn't match with the cinema line but the dynamic range is better. C80 is perfect except for not having CFexpress, and then there is the C400 that is quite a bit more expensive but has pretty much zero compromises.

  4. Wherever you hear of focus issues with a canon camera, it is 90% of the time a 3rd party lens. Aside from protecting their investment, they’re protecting their brand from getting a bad name. If they make a good lenses and the aftermarket makes the same one and it has issues it’s easy to point out the lens and not blame canon like most people do.

Also this is a b cam for the C400, not a C70 replacement.
