wow, such low quality cars vw group makes on the same platform
I actually drive a CUPRA Born with the big battery since October 23, 10.500 km. Longterm consumption is 21.8 kWh, Autobahnrange @ 140 km/h in Germany is around 220-250 km.
What’s going on here? Is the BMS slow to calibrate to module change? I think it would’ve been interesting with a follow up video on this Cupra if there’re more things to be said or tested.
Seems like you got a proper VW group treatment, no changes at all. Also the battery consumption is crazy, how can a car like Cupra Born have worse comsuption than an ID. Buzz?
"this car is thirsty! … at least the test 'll not take too long" eheheh
Imagine buying an expensive car and the media system that you have to use every day lags a couple of seconds on every click. I don't understand how they keep selling these.
I have a Skoda Enyaq IV80 with the same problem. It has also got a new module, but the problem is the same. It also just has 68 kWh, so that sucks.
LOL 68 out of a "82" battery. 🙁
Wow, that's a lot worse economy. It's a thirsty beast!
Seems like VW didn't listen to you.
Bjorn needs to be more clear exactly what was done to the car before spending 4 hours on a retest. This test proves nothing was done to the car.
Damn, man looks d-e-d😴
I'm amazed that the software quirk of kwh/hour still exists. Imagine if it did actually increase charging rate to the square over time.
The symbol what you saw, is a indicator, that still faulty modules are in the pack. With Software 3.2 the BMS is able to recognize faulty modules. There was a guide for users which got the update from the workshop (i am ID 3 User), which said, that after the update it can appear in the next 30 days, if this the case, the bms recognized faulty modules by observing the battery pack several days.
Björn, do you know what costs are involved for this module replacement when warranty is over?
Are they including hvac consumption
