  1. Where to get those original SSD chips from Crucial, Samsung or SK Hynix? I have something in my life: Never ever use flux paste onto any PCB, otherwise the guarantee is invalid. Why does everybody use flux on those modern boards?😮

  2. This is a very well done repair. I find it interesting too that the board was able to boot with one of the NAND chips missing, I would have thought that the absence of one or the other would cause it to not POST.

  3. These are hands down my favorite kinds of videos to watch on YouTube. I really enjoy seeing the in-depth upgrading of something that initially didn't have the best specs change to something better.

  4. The scariest part about these Macs for me is how hard it is to bootstrap one from bare metal. With Windows/Linux/whatever, it's just a matter of plugging in external storage, CD, DVD, Floppy, whatever… This thing is a brick unless you have another system and a bunch of uncommon software to reload it.

  5. Hey dude, I quite enjoy your videos. I am hoping to refine my skills and be at that level one day. I was wondering if you have ever tinkered with an Apple TV. Specifically the 4k Apple TVs that brick with updates and have no physical usb port to restore them. Would be great to find a solution for those.
