Today I learned that commenters think it’s okay to assault someone and then stab the people who you attacked when they act like drunk teens.

I'm not going to lie, my friends and I drank some in college in the 80s. No drugs. But we sure tf weren't hateful bullies, and we had respect for our elders bc our parents taught that. Heck I could see us helping the guy look for whatever he lost…CERTAINLY NOT calling him a pedophile or raper.
The downfall of society has been technology and social media. Still absolutely no excuse for what has happened here. It is very disturbing and I can't quit thinking about it…such an injustice for Mr. Mui and really scary to think that nobody can even protect and defend themselves when attacked and outnumbered.

The teenage mob committed an assault, which seems to be out of felony level. Someone in their party died as a result of their criminal activity. They should be on trial for murder. What is wrong with your prosecutors in Wisconsin? Your government is out of control.
So the rest of this guy's life is ruined because some disrespectful teens bullied an older man, then assaulted him. The most important what if is, what if after they pushed him down and hit him he didn’t get back up?
If he died because he hit his head on a rock or something or had a heart attack, or whatever…

Pushing a 50 year old out of shape man down in a river and punching him, holding him down is pretty close to attempted murder… so what if the video ended with a dead Nikolai floating in their river?
They push him, punch him, hold him down… and he dies… end of video…
Which ending to the movie is more tragic?
To me… it’s probably gonna be if those Bullies killed Nikolai, and its totally possible that that was about to happen…

Rittenhouse was not guilty. This man is guilty.
Rightfully guilty. Can’t murder and stab people for being bullied . Can’t claim self defense when you lie and deceive law enforcement investigating the incident.
He was just convicted. This whole situation is just so disturbing. This man feared for his life and reacted. I hope an appeals court will overturn his conviction because, while he may deserve a measure of accountability, so too do those teenagers who courted trouble and found it.
Look at how our law at work putting innocent people in jail.
Looks like vigilante justice needs to make a comeback. Our justice system is evil.
I would be mortified if my kids acted like that. Their parents are to blame for what happened to them. I would also never let my kids hang around with anyone like that “ring leader.”
