You missed the real reason why they are getting divorced. Later in the interview, the interviewer asked judge Mathis about infidelity. He did not give a straight answer. He went into lawyer talk. Which is evidence that he was cheating. The cheating is the real reason why his wife is filing for divorce.

You forget that Judge Mathis is a lawyer. He will only speak to the press about information that will not affect the divorce. We have no idea whether his non answers were hiding anything.

If the wife is retired, and the husband is working out of state for three weeks, why isn't she on the flights with him? Judge Mathis can claim neglect, and most can suspect that he is cheating. However, what if the wife is tired of a loveless marriage, and she is the one cheating.
Even the most independent woman, if she is at all sensible needs her man close and around…I would think it's a very cold relationship if she likes you gone I back that up with the 33% increase in emergency divorce applications during COVID-19 lockdown. People don't like each other and stay married but lockdown terrified the fake married. Imagine hating your spouse so much you file an emergency divorce at the prospect of being with them 24/7?? The straw that broke the camels back was once his show was over, like he literally has no more filming ever, she expected change! And he has probably been promising that after the show, things would be different for years! And she has been patiently waiting. Instead, he filled his schedule up again with community work and everything other than prioritizing her! Plus they are empty nesters so she no longer has children to distract her from the neglect! While he's running all around she is alone! And the problem is after you've done something for so long, that is probably the only way he knows how to function.
I do not believe Judge Mathis at all about the situation. Hopefully we will hear something from Linda. He is trying to get her back but he is in the airport leaving….does not make sense.
When a woman files for divorce as a man, you walk. Negotiation is delaying the inevitable – She is going to leave regardless…. He needs to tell her pack her things and bounce
