  1. You want to vacuum high and low sides because the TXV valve is going to block the flow from the low to the high side on the evaporator not completely it's just better to pull a vacuum from both sides. You want to make sure you get any moisture out of the lines I usually vacuum for 2 hours once the system has been opened to air especially if you live in a humid part of the country.

  2. Just finished installing a Tosot mini split. Works great. Thanks for this video and your follow up video. Referred to them both several times, really helped with the installation.

  3. Just finished installing my mini split. I had a friend in HVAC help me with my line set, but other than that I managed it all by myself and this video and your "regrets" one gave me the confidence to tackle it. Thanks so much!

  4. You should install EG4 24K hybrid mini split and do a clip on install and performance. I found it`d take about 8-9 450 Watt panels to fully power that mini split during the day (about 2500 Watts delivered for a full performance)

Or am i wrong here? I'm no electrician but this didnt make sense to me.

  6. Does the Tosot compressor come pre-charged with refrigerant? Is that true of all compressors, or is that unique to Tosot and Mr. Cool?

I don't see this specified on the Tosot website other than offhandedly mentioning DIY.

  7. It's much easier to mount the head, then run your lineset, you more likely to kink the copper lineset working with it all unraveled like that, plus it's easier to mount the head with just the stock lineset coming from the head.

  8. You can use a 3.5" inch hole saw and then use a 3" PVC pipe sleeve to pull the thingies thru the wall. This also keeps the bugs and varmints out of the wall. You can buy a 2 foot long piece of pvc from Lowe's and cut to length with a saw.

  9. That’s why it’s so much cheaper. You’ve got so much more to deal with. Tristan installed a Mr. cool with two heads and it was simple. The hardest part was placing the condenser on its rack on the side of the building. The rest was a piece of cake.

  10. Why is it that this feels like a informecial, like this channel gets paid to advertise. Is that what is happening, companies paying people to get their product sold on YouTube?
