You may have seen that some missions say you COMPLETED them and others say you ACCOMPLISHED them. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED pops up when you do the best possible route in one stage. Like, for example, beating Star Wolf before the bomb explodes. The end result is that there's actually two different versions of Venom. The only way to end up locked into the bad ending before entering Bolse is if you let Slippy get punched in the sector X boss fight.

Pochi I truly a gamer for beating Star Fox 64 with that aim and dodging skills.
(I already know the joycons sticks are to blame 😅)
I played this game a lot when I had a N64, is lots of fun.
Fun fact: I also got the Japanese version of this game and in the game chat the faces of the characters are lip synced to what they are saying is much more well made than in the western version that their mouths open and close at a fast pace like the characters are going insane or something. 😅
Grats on getting through the game! You should try the second path if you had a good time with this game, it is very interesting to see the story changes from the other side!

Thanks for the stream! You gave me a nostalgia rush by playing this one. I spent so much time replaying this game for secrets and different levels/endings. You figured it out really quickly! (Quick secret for if you play again. Save Falco, then fly under the arches in the water section in the first level. Do it right and you get a different boss and following level.)
I also enjoyed the SC reading at the end. A nice short zatsu to end the stream was nice.
