i played and loved this game, it was probably the first platformer i have ever 100%cented. I found the levels so charming that i was actually happy to replay them. A real shame Perry story never got resolved.
Funny you mention the koopaling’s absence because their sprites were found in the games files but ended up unused
But it’s so sexist because she uses her emotions!… Is what a woke idiot would say
A parasol?
adds a hat
PERRY THE PARASOL?!
I don't get the controversey for Peach using emotions as a weapon just because she's a woman. Get over yourselves people.
I enjoyed this one
Sadly i never maxed out the coins…
Also i think when she crouched/hide under umbrella, i always thought she was doing nsfw work stuff with perry
I was honestly kind of meh on the game, but then finding out I couldn't beat it without finding all the toads made me hate the game and trade the game back into Gamestop.
I can't believe you didn't bring up the Starfy-inspired enemy who you encounter throughout certain levels.
Nice video!
It was a fun game. Not great, but not bad. Definitely didn't like the fact that you had to save all the toads in order to finish the game.
So does peach has a gimmek from split movie?
I started playing it after 100 % Princess Peach Showtime, but I haven't played that much because I'm also playing the Mystery Dungeon remake on Switch
But that thing about post-game collectables is exactly the same as in showtime, and it was a bad idea in showtime too
Im sick of people saying this game is sexist when its just a cute fun little game
I’m confused Ant. You say you think the emotion mechanic is weird, and then you do a five minute segment about how fun it makes the gameplay? 😅
I love this game
But Antdude. The minigame music for the spooky, lava, and snow world's slaps!
For me this game didn't even hold up at the time. It was alright, but really not worthy of being the game where Peach finally gets the spotlight. I think the new Showtime game does a much better job crafting a new franchise for Peach.
You need to collect all the dragon coins to fight Bowser in World? Dude, wtf are you TALKING about? Guess a bunch of those any % speedrunners need to know AntDude is calling them fake.
Also, World was the last big game to pull from? So according to you, 64 did not exist? Did you forget you freaken MENTIONED Sunshine and how they pulled from it?
It does look interesting 🤔
I played this game way long ago and thought the sprite work was amazing and the gameplay a little lacking! Watching this video reminds me how good this game still looks!
I never saw the emotions as a bad thing, specially since Peach is the only one who is in control of her emotions.
I'm a guy, so my opinion on this isn't going to matter much, but I like the idea of the vibes. Sure, its a bit sexist, but its also seems like an interesting concept as a power set. Maybe on a different character or at a different time it would have gone over better. Honestly, if Peach isn't going to have it, I wouldn't mind Daisy getting it in some form or fashion.
8:50 The first Rayman game does the same thing. That's just really mean to do, especially in a kids game.
Peach should get her own franchise of some sort.
Mario of course has the most games, but Luigi has Luigi’s mansion, Yoshi has yoshi’s island. Even toad has captain toad.
They should do the same for peach.
The only other game TOSE put their name on outside of the Starfy series, with all their favourites
-completing is a significant deal, fill your bestiary! Collect all the music! Beat every minigame on all difficulties! etc.
-a second lap playthrough with brand new levels and minor alterations to old ones
-a combo system for defeating enemies quickly that grants you currency
-bright vivid colour palette, truly their 2D work is absolutely splendid and vibrant
-It has Starfy in it (He's a semi-secret enemy you have to bonk three times in 3 different worlds for the bestiary)
The kind of 7/10 game that BEGS for a sequel with some real bite, some real expansion of ideas. Musics pleasant with some real bangers too, shame we'll not likely ever get a full sequel because it's close to a very excellent game.
Bowser: A parasoul?
puts on a bow
PERRY THE PARASOUL!!!
Try polarium on ds and gba
Gets some weird hate but it is a very solid fun game
I liked SPP I was playing it in high school but I didn't 100% it or even try
Maybe I should play it again-
oh, it's… almost 20 years old? ..oh.
