I think I give away about three big bass a year to people who I know need the meat otherwise I just throw everything back I catch around here. I have been tempted to throw channel cats in Monona when I catch them by the locks but of course I never have done it.
Does anyone know why there isn't a huge population of catfish in Monona? I know the population in Mendota is getting bigger I have not caught one less than fifteen pounds for at least ten years.
I mostly catch them on rapalas I don't even use bait anymore.
