i enjoy watching this man make miracles more than anything on youtube
You sir are the light that fights back the darkness. Going above and beyond for the customer is few and far between. I o7 you!!! Excellent job!!!!
Why u egh eheh eh….
I had a gigabyte vision 3080 run in the high 70's for once for mem temps, was impressed
I got the same condition fans on a HD7950.. with a black screen after installing driver. Seller forgot to mention these things… 😀
"Do or do not ,, there is no try " Yoda
Good job! But this is what nVidia is: expensive garbage.
Good luck 🍀
Do no throw evga fans , replace ball bearings , last for years ->693zz
Protip, remove the plastic off the fan hubs when you buy new cards. If you don't you can end up causing the fans to wobble when spinning resulting in bad/dead fans.
What did they do, try to pull the fans out without unscrewing them? Did they think they could just pull the blades out? I don't see how else they could damage 2 fans like this, I doubt they both just failed like that.
not a bit boring, stay assured!
Great chance to customers see how hard a "simple" marriage between board and heatsink can become.
"I dont know, who cares" is your best catch phrase ❤
i've had an issue 'ere in croatiai wanted to repaste and replace pads and when i enter hi end tech store the guy wonderously said "what' when i mention the padsso,i've end up with almost 20 degrees of hotspot, then i applied tiny coat of paste onto padsend up w almost 12 degrees differencei was oomgFrank Sinatra I did it my way
Like your integrity; sadly lacking in today's world.
EVGA heatsinks will go up as people who watercool thier cards loose thiers. i would probably sell them on ebay. they will probably sell like hot cake
These cards were 2,000 dollars. It really sucks having to even use thermal pads; the heat sink should be machined and only needing thermal paste.
Great video! I'll tell ya though, I've had my ventus 3090 since 2021 without ever opening it up and my memory junction & hot spot temps never exceeded 90 C. After adding aluminum heatsinks to the backplate over the vram and getting a new case with better airflow, now I get more like 82-85 C. Core almost never exceeds 75 C.
Plumber sounds good. After all You already have experience with soldering and reflow.
Keep finding myself shopping for cheap Chinese heat stations…
i have repasted my gigabyte rtx 2070 gaming oc without thermal pads on mosfets and capacitors will my gpu explode?
This Evga 3090 runs a lot cooler than my MSI 3090 does.
what if a customer has a dented up heatsink lol u threw away that heatsink XD
good video, a lot of fine tuning heheheheheheh
These video cards… ridiculous, they need to be sued by everyone. Class action lawsuit for making such a crap card. My dang 3090 rog strix went out and i have been without my machine since mid-march. Asus has it currently, undergoing repairs.. a 3 year old card should not have so many issues, i cannot accept it. It's complete bs.
You are definitely not from New England. We never throw away perfectly good screws (or anything else for that matter)! 😛
So buying a graphics card in 2024 you can only expect 2 years past warranty? So made for a price not for quality, looks like I will stick to my 1080ti 8 years old and going strong.
That gd-2 stuff seems to be an improved version of gd900. I'll pick up a tube.
You don't want to use thin thermal pastes on these massive dies. They pump out REAL quick. I stopped using gd900 because of it.
Love your Comment´s about the OEM´s and that you hard Destroy them because a lot of the Card´s are Garbage! Maybe there come´s and OEM to you and Ask´s for your Idea´s for the thermal Problem´s and pays you a lot for. You deserve it.
Great work Tony.. Interesting one.. 👍👍
fans are rattling like my ex
was that gpu used for mining, no way the fan failed that bad
👌👌👍👍
I bought an EVGA GTX 1080 that had that fan noise from new. Turns out the fan connector cable wasn't tucked away properly and the fan was making contact with it!
Dude, how is it possible for the PCB to lose so many components? What has the owner been doing with the Graphics card?
This video was not boring. You proved how important it is to measure the pads yourself and not to trust anyone's info on it. That's good info for people who want to go a good job.
If nothing works for you dont throw them away sell them for scrap.
Another one saved 🙌
