  1. A good way to identify which driver mosfet is shorted is to use an esr meter across the coil. The esr meter will read the esr of the coil on the good mosfets. The esr meter will read low resistance on the shorted mosfet.

  2. Hello! I love your videos! They are very relaxing and extremely mesmerizing! You do excellent work! I had a quick question: Do you call "Big Boss" "Big Boss" out of respect for his great work? or is it a reference to the Video Game 'Metal Gear Solid'? If it's not either of them, please share if you can! Keep up the amazing work!

  3. Let's gooooo!!!!!

reball gpu, find and fix any pads.
    Test, done.
While you at it just replace all the al mosfets,
Once the physical damage is repaired, hit it with electronics spray cleaner so the presentation to the customer is perfectly cleaned and repaired card for the dad to be the hero.

  4. I am surprised that there is no warranty on all those relatively new graphics cards with burnt connectors and components that just fries like that. Seems like it is risky to shell out money on a very expensive graphics card when they can burn out, so easily.

  5. So, first off, I know nothing about microsoldering. I am a new subscriber to your videos so this is all new to me. But I just watched a video where you reballed a chip on a nvme. I do know that laptop cpus and gpus have similar solder on the bottom. Is that something that can be done to fix a laptop? I'm just curious. I was binge watching your videos and wondered that.

  6. I had the six-beep issue with a couple of EVGA cards. It could be a bios modified card. Reflash the bios and try again. Some EVGA's also have compatibility issues with older series of CPU's on the motherboard.
