This one is less of a repair and more changing speed. A hand held plastic extruder run with a Leinster heat gun and Metabo drill …

That's what you call a aldi special
Ive got a metabo jackhammer that has the same "cant find a part number or picture online" problem. After a bit more digging i found it was a rebranded dewalt.
I still have my Metabo SB EDV 1000s ( 2 of them actually) . 30 years old now. Been a builder and used these to drill steel and timber etc. Tough mechanicals, but don’t drop them! Electronics are a bit delicate.
“That’ll keep ’em goin’ for a while.” Has to be my favourite phrase. It embodies the true spirit of a repair man.
That is probably an Asian market model number because this would have been made in China. I believe the model is Sb Edv1000 2 S. You need part# 316014450 and 310004840. I checked and they are discontinued in the US.
thats sum kaboorich there dean😂
Proper work. Thank you.
I think you could just use that attachment on another drill. Presumably the extruder part is the rare part.
Won't the higher speed overload the extruder?
Seems to be a Metabo SB EDV 1000/2, according to this (german) video: https://youtu.be/LimvepwM0To
You really do get it all in that workshop! Interesting video cheers Dean😊
It would be awesome if you had to fix a old Bosch drill with a metal gearbox 😀
I have 2 of them and are about to throw them away.. but maybe I can give them a chance but can't find anyone who fixed any..

Out of interest, there’s a very similar machine called the ‘Munsch Mini Extruder Welder’ online – it’s very expensive!!
it was obviously done by MacGyver..
Looks like a mad max style weapon
Never seen or herd of those. Pretty cool. Nice job gettin it running
Putting the speed to hare rather than tortoise will make extruded run too quick for heater to keep up I’m afraid.
It could be ok on speed 2 and as long as it has a speed controller on it it would still work as intended.
i have that exact drill …. it is over 30 years old and still works they had the best hammer drill at the time.
We have a customer that is into plastic welding, he uses original Leister machines, this type would cost a several thousand Euro.
This one here seems to be some sort of a knockoff hence the Frankenstein build and probably only costs a fragment of the real one, but if it works it works right.
The Metabo drill looks like a precursor of the SB EDV 1000 and even that one is obsolete. I reckon it's at least 30 years old
What the hell is this 😂😂😂
I watched a lot of repair and fabrication videos on Youtube and I know that there are people out there that have CNC machines and lathes that could make new gears for that. It would be much cheaper than the new model.
Never seen a machine like this. But I looked it up and they actually are a real thing, even knockoffs of the expensive ones on ebay and Aliexpress are available.
If theres a cheap knockoff its not that uncommon of a machine.
Most of them seem to use Metabo or Hitachi drills.
