suppose if they are there making sure the police are doing their jobs, they shouldn't be surprised when they do exactly that.

A scenario I sometimes imagine, Joey or Ragglemuffin are trapped in a burning overturned vehicle on the side of the road, with death closing in they are relieved to see rescuers coming to their aid, looking up, they lock eyes with one of these officers. Even so, I guarantee you any one of them would still risk their life to pull them to safety, that's because every one of them has more character in their little finger than little Joey or Ragglemuff have in their whole pathetic body.
