  1. it's so hard to explain the ff looks to apsc die harder. I have sony a7r5, canon R8 and Fuji XT5. I love them all because, for sure apsc sensor can still produce great images, but never say it's the same looks with fullframe because it isn't, just isn't 🙂

  2. I have both, and use both professionally. If I need great autofocus tracking, or better lowlight capabilities in conditions where I can't control light, it's the sony for photo or video. For anything else xh2 is fantastic. 8k is great, as I can do some client work without needing a big rig on a red. Aside from that, I find that even the highest quality 4k downsampled from 8k in camera pro res, comes out too sharp for a cinematic look, and I end up softening in editing. Both cost roughly the same in terms of cost of ownership, when you weigh in the cost of fuji lenses that can actually resolve the 8k 40mp resolution. Note: 8k requires a ton of storage space, a very powerful computer to edit in real-time.

  3. Something I find interesting…. The FF look…. Technically we are really just talking about DOF with a certain focal length correct? I’m asking honestly as this is what I am guessing.

But the thing I find interesting is I recently got married and my wedding photographer… a friend of mine used a a7iv and the 3 tradition GM primes. What I noticed is there was an actual amount of blur that I didn’t prefer…. Or shall I say the depth of field was sometime used in a way that I think the blur took away from the photo instead of adding to it. I noticed this with close up detail shots also.

What I have been noticing is that the extreme shallow depth of field can actually be distracting when not used correctly and I feel like this is something I have not noticed as much with my Fuji and the 1.4 primes I have. Just an interesting note 😉 .

I would love to see a f4 and above photoshoot from you to see if you feel like you have to be even more creative 🙂 ! Something I plan to do soon 🙂
