  1. @JerryRigEverything do you have any clue what type of material is on the back, just above the temperature sensor (black square)?

We are trying to integrate this sensor (MLX90632) in one of our products, but… if we put a sensor under a thin glass, it measures a temperature of the glass itself and not a temperature of the finger (or any other surface).
Support from Melaxis is not exactly one of the best or maybe we are too small as a company… so maybe you can help us 🙂

  2. The small dents in the back of the foil covering the display may explain why so many of us (myself included) are seeing bumps in the same locations on our displays. These bumps are difficult to spot, but if your phone has them they can be seen under certain light conditions and if you hold your phone at certain angles. I have reported the issue to Google and have asked for a warranty extension. There does not seem to be an impact on display quality on my phone, but I am concerned about premature failure of the display. RMA units that have been replaced seem to be seeing the same issue on the replacement phones. You may want to look at your display and report the issue to Google if the bumps are present on your phone.

  3. The natural progression should be the orange that was around the other parts in this device. I like the whole 7-year thing, now they just need to make a phone you'd want to keep for that amount of time. I'm on a 3-year cycle myself, up from my previous "gotta have it" every year cycle that ended with the Pixel 3 XL. I have the P6P waiting on the Pixel 9 series, that orange would be sweet!!
