Does HP Elitebooks model have the same problem of upgrading Or it only applies to Macbook?
Is JC programmer always need, or only when NAND chips are mixed up? If you removed 4x NAND from A1989, kept them in proper 0-1-2-3 order, and solder to A1990, will it work without JC?

Silently praying that it will be possible to do modifications similar to your kits for A1706 and A1707 as someone with practically next to nil soldering capabilities
