They did say on there that functionality wasn’t tested out before selling. Had the X instead of a check. Still horrible it’s $300+ dollars for something that doesn’t work.
The kinds of issues (missing parts and a dead controller) from so called the "repair shop" DK Oldies really gives us REAL technicians a bad name. I've been a computer tech since 1999 and this is just embarrassing. This is the trash like Geek Squad has done for years. I do not blame those customers that get screwed like this, I blame the company for a lack of good training and QA/QC standards.

From the condition description on DK it was pretty concise, but if they were trying to sell a display/collectors piece not for play they need to disclose that on the individual listings
There is a reason they still don’t have a storefront. Because the line out the door for returns would go for miles…

Not sure if you didn't notice or just didn't mention it, but on their "Quality control checklist" they had an 'X' next to 'Functionality Confirmed' instead of the checkmark on the other 2, so I don't know how they could get away with advertising that as 'Good', which according to them, "Will look good and work" and not test seemingly ANY functionality. They continue to just come off as another scam reseller that rode the wave of retro video game speculation bubbles from 2021 and onward.

I would rather get a dirty console that worked and a used controller that worked, than a console that could not load game disks and a controller in slightly better condition that did not work.
Sorry DK Oldies but this is completely unacceptable, if it were to make sense for anyone to actually buy from you, you have to actually REFURBISH each unit, and test basic functionality/QA.

DK oldies is still the skuzzy overpriced trash shop it's always been.

Also, I understand comparing the two consoles but there's a clear difference between a family / rando selling a console on ebay vs a company selling it. DK oldies should have proper standards in place considering they sell it for double the price.
Ive gotten many game disks from DKoldies and have never had an issue, I think the consoles are hit and miss with them but for games you cant really beat it

On the DK Oldies "quality control seal" you showed, there is an X next to "functionality confirmed", while the are checkmarks next to the other ones. Makes me think if this one was suposed to be sold or not?
Paying double the price with a broken controller and a bad disk drive is wild. I have never and will never buy anything from DK Oldies .
