They need to fix the charging proses lol noone will have this major problem to charge the car. They wil not sell cars in Norway if they dont chance the chargeing ports to EU standard.

the idea to put away responsibility for such a crucial thing as charging from car manufacture to ccs adapter provider is just inacceptable
It's like they accidentally put a consept car into production.

I use this adapter to use CCS to charge via GBT. My way (has always worked): 1. Turn on the adapter and wait for continuous blinking (slow blink), 2. Connect it to the car, 3. Start the charging session, 4. Connect the CCS to the adapter. Some issues: when the internal battery is depleted, the led will only blink once. In this case, the USB connection can be used to supply power from an external power bank. BTW: the only reason to consider this adapter if the price is right (I have a Chinese market i3 in the UAE…)

Great video Bjorn. Imagine buying this $100,000 EV and finding you can't really drive it on trips yet as they need to get their charging issues corrected ASAP. I am not a fan of their self driving cruise control because that would be much more taxing while driving than just running without it completely, yourself.
When IAA was in Munich, I saw this car parked outside of Munich while I was biking by, I was thinking what a cool speceship, but now I am thinking differently. This is a car for posers only, who just want to flex with the look of their car, but unable to use it properly.

IBjorn, 'm confused. In the US, effective, non Teslas have to be licensed by the non Tesla manufacturer and Tesla ( For for example) before you'll get a charge on a Tesla network, Why did you expect to get a charge on a Tesla charger? Your experence reminds me of trying to charge a BMW on an Electrify America network in the States.

In Dala's video with the CCS to Chademo adapter the sequence is: connect charger to adapter, then activate adapter, then plugin to the car. The adapter seems similar. Did you try that as well?

Dear Bjorn, that was so freaking funny to see your reaction to all that mess with adapter) you have to look into Ukrainian EV reality, we live with all that! at least a half of our EV's fleet is pure Chinese ev's with gbt and it's booming in case of very expensive fossil… the other half is US teslas with nacs port! so we already have our national manufacturers of ccs2-gbt adapters and ccs2-nacs adapters as well.. a banch of them! that's crazy . we have so much experience here with all that shit
Excellent review with humour, using and getting the charger adapter to work and all the variations is hilarious. I also like the look of the car, if they could just take all the lights away from the doors, it would look better and also maybe cost less, who needs lights on doors (more to go wrong). Driving a video game is a great description. If this car works and if they can fix the charging, it has good range. If again the EV computer readout is no lying about the battery charge capacity and distance. Very funny, but also very thorough and informative.
i have the same adaptore in egypt it works by plug in the adaptor frist in the car then power on the adaptor then plug the charger
Instead of providing a CCS2, they spent plenty of money for a shitload of useless features: leds, sounds…

test this combination, i'm think make to go win to 1000km challenge.
N.B. : in other subject, i'm want to try combo CCS to chademo adaptor on nissan leaf 1 and 2 (and on your soul, maybe), for go in universal charge car everywhere… ;-p

Damned great car. Chinese manufacturers will kill all other e-Car makers. Elon Musk is right. Same like smartphones. Good to know ICE cars are coming back.

The sounds don't appeal to the generation who's dying out now, but i'd imagine the kids will love it when they are in their adult years since they are so used to the touch, gacha, gaming interface. I'm expecting it to be widely popular in 10-15 years. Maybe there will be Ads on the door panel or a minigame to play to open the doors lol.
I have noticed that in the main screen of the car after you plugged the charger and you got the purple light outside, you can press start charging now from the screen. Maybe that is the workaround when the car does not do the handshake automatically, see minute 8:05 in the video
At 8:06 there’s a ‘start charge now’ button on screen, have you tried that?
