Also if you buy a RC transmitter like the flysky I6X ($85 aliexpress) add the receiver to the bot and attach servos to the receiver, to power it i used 2 18650 batteries out of an old laptop battery in series so got 8.4v and a LM2596S Step-down buck converter $2 on temu ( to bring it down to 5V, Then you can move legs with transmitter over 500m
another addition you can do is replace the arduino uno with a wemos d1 mini board and a relay shield, and make a remote on off for it via your phone, by placing a webserver onto the wemos then you connect direct to it via wifi its range is 30m
good job I also done this 7 years ago and left code in comments section you could use a USB power bank and attach it to the robot to power the usb
