  1. You upset Wilson Combat with your 1911 slide video haha! Well done! I will keep to buying HK pistols and sigs they are expensive and never break if I let the slide go home aka abuse them like a bad child wc pistol.

  2. Question on LSA. Sorry to hijack the comments to a question on LSA. I love your videos and after watching your video on cleaning/lubing an AR months ago I found some LSA online at Sportsman's Guide. I bought 4 4oz bottles. Your LSA is milky white but the LSA I received is almond clear – almost brown. It doesn't have much of a smell. I contacted them and they checked all of their stock (or at least a portion of it) and it all the same. Brown liquid. The printed spec on the bottles are all MIL-L-46000B just like your quart size. These are from Bray Oil Company. It also seems thinner than yours appears. They stand behind the product as being LSA. I did return them. If it not milky-white then it its not LSA, right?

  3. Thank you for this very informative video. I just bought my first 1911 (Springfield Ronin 10mm). I am trying to understand as much about my new gun as possible. At this point, I'm very happy with the trigger. Honestly, I wouldn't trust myself to attempt this delicate trigger work after watching one video. Luckily, my range has a great gunsmith. Take care and Happy New Year!

  4. Idk. I have 2 1911s both from Taurus. I won't do anything to the triggers on either one of them. Both are light and crisp. I would LOVE to do something about the trigger on my Star Firestar M45. That's a trigger pull from hell

  5. I also had one but never did a trigger job. I was able to shoot within the X ring at 25 meters. The key to that was to press the trigger to one side or the other in it's channel and gently squeeze for the shot; all the time keeping side pressure on the trigger.
I no longer have the pistol because it was stolen in 1986 and has never turned up on the firearms markets.

  6. I own a 1954 National Match Colt. Sweet trigger. Suggestion: go to Harbor Freight (or on line), and buy a 4" and 6" magnetic metal bowls. They work well for holding your metal parts as you disassemble firearms or similar objects. They won't roll of or disappear as you work on the piece.

  7. Got a Springfield, 10mm. Saw that all the internals were cast with a plastic trigger blade. I bought a high-grip WilsonCombat beaver tail and filed the frame to blend it. Factory trigger was over 5 pounds. I'll get the sear right once the frame gets back from getting DLC and shoot for 3.25 lbs or so. Thanks for the great videos.

  8. Thanks brother great to hear Murphy is doing well my boy Cole is laying in front of me as i wright this 3 years old now, i have a Colt 1911 Combat Target made one year like 96 or 97 looks like a Gold Cup but no NM barrel or royal blue love it a gift from my Wife of 50 years, im gonna pull it apart and look at the trigger parts thanks for the class . God Bless

  9. So many things wrong with this video!!
The take up is the word you want as the trigger is depressing until pressure is felt like Freeplay on a clutch!! I would never mess with the spring's!! I would of taken the grips off!! The back of the trigger bow is usually the culprit on how it marries the disconnector sear !

  10. In my opinion: The hammer to trigger pull maybe 4lbs, but that one looks like it has hammer spur slush. Less spur = crispy fast trigger. More rear mass on the hammer = accelerated hook wear with slushy sear let off.

  11. Nice piece of equipment and nice demonstration on how to tune up a perfect trigger. I won a 1911 Wilson Combat CQB Elite, I am very happy with everything is in it. Nice and smooth yet nothing rattles.

  12. Sir, I have a CZ 457 lux 22lr rifle. I want to mount a leapold rimfire scope on it. I cannot find mounting hardware for it. I have seen the video that shows you shooting your CZ rifle. Can you please tell me what kind of mounting hardware I need and where to purchase it. And I love your new puppy too!
