Yes!..holding down the home button while close to the fire stick activated the replacement remote! Thank you!
None of this worked for me… trying to connect a replacement remote to my regular tv & fire stick but pressing the 3 lines, back arrow & left side of the circle in that exact sequence it automatically paired my remote. Hope this helps!!!
I keep trying to no avail. The remote is infrared and the firestick uses bluetooth so it is impossible despite it saying it is compatible

I have a non-smart TV. I am using a regular fire stick. The remote is broken. I ordered a new remote from Amazon and I can’t get it to pair to the fire stick. However, the holding the home screen button method paired The remote to my LG TV. It turns up the volume and Power it off. The issue is the Firestick part isn’t it.

What if you got new wifi? So as a result, the TV is not connected to any wifi and will not connect with the new remote because neither would be connected to the internet
