  2. You can't just work from abroad if you have a job that allows you to work remotely. Remote work is meant to be only within the United States. Otherwise you create tax liabilities for your employer with the foreign country that you're working from. Remember tax is based on where the work is conducted. You have to be a contractor in order to work from abroad, not a W-2 employee.
