I love repair communities that come together and share information with each other. Everyone wins, a beautiful thing
They cant teach this at trade school!
Also the anxiety of working with expensive tools and equipment over a grate…🤑
Keeping it real my dude!
Just got a turbo torch. What size tip did you use in this vid? Thx
This might be late, but I use to share a LGMV module with a co-worker and we would constantly run into that "Time out issue". What seemed to work for us was after disabling "switch to mobile data", completely power cycling the system seemed to solve it. Also while there arent sight glasses on the compressors, there are oil sensors that you can view on the LGMV app under "cycle & valves info" for each compressor, where if its green it has an appropriate amount of oil and if its grey the system will use its "smart oil management" to try and get the oil back to the compressor. Lg recommends enabling forced oil return on systems where compressors died due to low oil or unknown causes. Ive only really worked on Multi V 5s so im not sure how this translates to 4s. I think it should be the same , but thought it would be helpful to pass off anyways. I enjoy the content, keep it up man
👍🤙🤘
I appreciate the heart dropping moment when the old compressor was locked but that sol valve will almost certainly be leaking by. I'd be very surprised if it could withstand that heat and not sustain damage to the seal inside. Not sure why it needs additional oil either but best check the manual before going ahead especially if it's not the exact same oil as the pre-charged new compressor.
Running the new compressor with a suspect bypass valve is 'brave' imho.
That said IF I understand correctly, (?)
I was also quite surprised you managed to buy a new tablet, then get a new compressor installed on the Monday and get the system up and running by the afternoon. I assume you had to reclaim the whole charge How long was the pressure test, how long was the vacuum.
anyhoo it's always a sweet moment when it finally fires up.
Great job 👏
Fantastic job BRO!!! Thanks for video
What a terrible work location! I couldn’t handle that high altitude location either! GREAT workmanship👍👍
Jumper man Tech: I need something to do that fills up all this free time I got, and my weekend.
Herd of LG's: Hold our beer, we got this.
LOL!
Good job Jumper, Shit happens, no one's fault…….
Love the view. Reminds me of my days doing Chicago work. Nice job on the torch with the high-content silver rod, too. Good call as you needed all the capillary action you could get in that tight space. Silver loves to flow like lead does.
Too bad the compressor ate itself…you'd be the weekend hero otherwise.
func also opens all the valves in BS boxes and any coil valves
Why not replace the valve ?
I had the same problem with a Mitsubishi unit
I found it easier in the end to remove the part repair the part then reinstall it
I know, you're talking about Klima in LIC.
Try buying parts from "rapid"
We usually get inverter PCB boards and filter noise boards within 3 to 5 business days
Love your videos. Thanx for sharing.
I cringe whenever I see LG. Those compressors are junk. I Enjoy your content.
Hi! Good job! But why did you change iverter board if the compressor fail?
Beautiful job my brother, btw, thanks for the shoutout.
Real tech in this video. Respect
Why you working with no helper, hit me up im free all saturdays im in Brooklyn. Let me
when brazing selenoid valves you need to know if its normal open or normal close, dont throw solenoid magnets if you dont know the flow
Great video. Thank you for sharing. Have a nice weekend
That one escalated really fast. That must be an big bill for the owner
When pulling a vacuum, LG recommends pulling a vacuum on all 3 pipes. Their diagram shows a 2nd vacuum pump connected to the 3rd line.
One other thing, the mobile LGMV tool also can be connected to your computer, but you have to use the other version(similar look to the mobile version)
Can't fault you for doing what you had to do, nice job getting them going
Another superb video, thank's
Great vid & great job … Beautiful skyline as usual … Thx
Great video.hope u could do a video on error codes
Man, you get some of the toughest shittiest jobs I’ve seen. Apparently you’re not afraid of anything that’s awesome.
I hope you had multiple fire extinguishers available yikes
At this rate a couple more years of working here and you can retire! It’s pretty disappointing to see the units, which I’m sure they paid a pretty penny for and to install, fail at the rate they are. Makes me want to avoid any LG hvac products. Hello from sunny Florida! Love your videos and try not to miss them. Take care and be safe out there.
