  1. *Guys, for clarity… For some illogical reason I stated 1300 oil for the capstone on the voiceover recording. As most of you will already know from my other videos It is 9010 oil that is used & should be always used. (and was used).

  2. 10 seconds a day for a $17 watch is incredible mate! I reviewed one of these early on in my channel and was shocked that I could get an automatic watch for such a low price! Thank you for the video, really enjoyed it

  3. You mentioned that the jewels might be plastic? Would the oil affect the plastic material? People mentioned that the Chinese auto oilers melted with the watch oils placed inside? Just a thought.

  4. Really loved this video, first time viewer and new Subscriber!! I'm so glad this popped up on to my feed. I will be watching your videos regularly now! What a great series for someone like myself who would be interested in purchasing and learning with a cheaper watch for this hobby!

  5. Good video. I've heard speculations about ali express watches not lubricating the movements on the principle that bad lube can stop the watch whereas no lube makes the watch work initially and then die a little ways in (after the return period). I've also seen a watchmaker video for a more high end Ali Express watch (Sugess) where pushers installed were too small to reliably activate the movement and would end up making the movement stick. He had to machine new pushers to make the watch work and he also said it was badly lubricated (it did have some lubrication). It seems like you need to at least buy a microbrand so that THEY require certain quality standards out of the Chinese manufacturers or else they seem to cut corners to the point where the watches look nice but aren't. I'd be interested in seeing how some of the other Ali brands fare under your servicing.

  6. you got this crap watch, and you transformed it to a better watch. you did it because you can, you have the time and the patience . you are a technician . but, who else does this . if i get this watch and take it to my technician, to lubricate it, he will tell me to buzz off …

  7. Great video. What blows my mind is that $17 dollars pays for the watch, warehousing, percentage to Ali Express and the profit to the seller. The actual cost to produce the watch must be less than $5. And now it's lubricated it'll last for years.

  8. Surprising for the price ($100+/-) 3 years ago I bought an AliExpress watch which was incredibly precise. I started using it for work (construction field: Jackhammer, etc.), I was sure that it would die fairly fast but kept good time. I dropped it by accident on a solid surface, it stopped! The day after I put it at the right time and was astonished to see it worked like old faithful. It probably had a shock system. It look a bit like an Omega, the bracelet which came with it needed a bit of t.l.c.

  9. Not my kind of watch but interesting and quite impressive what they manage to cram in there for onder 20 dollars retail. Probably , subsistence labour conditions are the main ingredient.

  10. $17 makes me think that the case and bracelet are not 316L SS. I suspect it's zinc, or pot metal. But 17 bucks for the movement alone is acceptable to me.
