I recently discovered the Lenovo Legion Go and fell in love with its form factor. Not as small as other handhelds like the MSI Claw …

  1. Yeah it is a massive waste of money unless you travel a lot and are desperate to game. Even then, I would still prefer a gaming laptop. It is far more useful.

  2. There's many ways to safely get way more power from the legion go itself without an e-gpu. In the bios you can turn the igpu from 3gb to 8gb and its been running flawless.
Can also turn your power usage up to the full 65 watts instead of 30, without flashing the bios there's easy to use 3rd party software for experimental use.

With a simple PD dock its quite the versatile gaming PC.

As someone who lives off grid & uses the Go for demanding tasks, its incredibly efficient and quite unbelievable how it competes with more expensive power hogging desktops & laptops.

  3. The keyboard issue is related to microsoft since windows 10. I worked for a manufacturer and sometimes windows doesn't know you are using a tablet and you have to go into accessibility obtion and enable keyboard to bypass this!

  4. anything more than 1080p on a small screen is unnecessary for a handheld pc, i love the steam deck screen size and resolution, just wish it had a Z1 extreme or something

  5. I habe legion and i love it. Its so big screen. So tired of draggin laptop around for gaming, this thing does it all, be it laptop stuff or gaming from any place, steam, epic, gog anything. Can even play strategy games if i want to. Get game pass ult and you can play all triple a titles, so great to play sports games. You can stream ps5 onto it game online with it. I dont see any other handheld with so much advantage. In my region steamdeck is more expensive than lenovo so i dont see how it is better in any way. Maybe if you are from usa and you only want to play indie tiltles and the prive there is cheap and you dont want windows with it then steamdeck is probably for you otherwise this is the best there is. Ally too small

  6. For people that have countless games across all PC storefronts like me , is the steam deck not really a good option because installing from stores other than steam is a pain . I would probably go with either an Ally or a Go because of the native storefront support .

  7. It looks beautiful but I cannot see much of usefulness to it. Imho it is too big to be “portable”. I prefer to use my netbook and if I want to play my smartphone is more than enough.

  8. I like the L Go, but damnit they are way too slow on updates. We still cannot customize inputs. Technically you can, but its so extremely limited that its just useless. They know it and have addressed it back the month it launched, putting out a roadmap for updates promising that would be coming soon like a month after Christmas.

    Awful.

That being said, yeah its good. The screen is huge. The audio requires EQ tweaking and is terrible out of the box, but with some EQing it gets acceptable.

Its too heavy. Thats not fun. Its not ergonomic either, which makes the weight worse.

I still love it as much as my Ally though.

  9. Have the Legion Go many months now and recently finished Dead Island Riptide and Elden Ring, Mafia 3 on it with max resolution and settings, its fricking amazing and to play higher demand games on 4K I have Desktop PC for it.

  10. I really want one of these just for fun, but I can't justify the money. I don't travel, and there are enough low latency remote options that I can get into my home PC from even a low-end laptop when I want to game.
