Finally got some new things up on the store over the week.
Keep an eye out on the YouTube community tab over the next few days as I will be looking for some input from my viewers as I plan to make some changes to my content and possibly upload schedule.
On the Samsung trying to be Apple thing, I recently went to the Highpoint Apple store to have them do something about the broken rear mic on my 15 Pro Max (which they covered under warranty and had replaced the rear-glass assembly within 2 hours), and I noticed across from Apple and one floor down was a dedicated Samsung store, and it looked just like the Apple store but 1/4 the size and with less people inside. It was actually kind of funny.
Amazing 🤩
My phone is on Android 10
I'm still using Samsung Galaxy Note 9/Android 10
android 10here because huawei doesnt give updates no more
Apple is… Apple.
Apple makes repair more difficult then Samsung is at least this is my theory is that Samsung make more phones than apple so they cover their margins
My dad is running android 7 on his Samsung tablet
Hi Hugh,
Your battery was hard to remove because you've pulled the whole adhesive. You need to take off the pull tab AND the rest of adhesive. I've already repaired some s23 series and the battery was way easier thanks to the pull tab. Just need to do like on huawei batteries with "A" and "B" to remove (you need to peel of the B sides before pull on the A)
What Android phone are you using that's still on Android 8?
Which phone do you use everyday?
more repair vids please.
1:43 I am using android 8 too. Samsung galaxy J7 Max🙂🙂
Samsung is nothing to brag about when it comes to repair. Untrustworthy company at the best of times…

Distinctive Edge I see what you did there
Hey Hugh, Just a note.. the only samsung phone that comes with the Snapdragon chip is the Ultra, the s24 & plus only come with the exynos chip in OZ & NZ
I wish I could rock a older version as android 8 I’m on android 12 as I need security patch updates ( about to update to android 13 with new work phone)
Im sick of curved screens, flat is million times better and how is that iPhone copy in any way ?
I'm guessing Samsung arnt even trying to be innovative when they make it look like a competitors phone
Lol. It looks like my A25 5G.
Fuck apple
It really does just look like an iphone. Thats pretty sad honestly….
The S24U is the best phone ever!
Interested to see what will happen in 2027 when EU law for user replaceable batteries willl become active
Apple absolutely could, Hugh. They choose not to because they suck.
Apple could, but they dont want to, because Apple gives a duck about repairability: Iphones, compared to other smartphone brands are designed complicated as duck, because they dont want you to repair it. same for repair prices, apple repairs almost nothing compared to other companies and the costs are INSANELY HIGH (except battery) if you dont have apple care plus. 339 Euros in 2024 for an Iphone X screen replacement. madness.
Then all our phones would be ugly AF
You should have tried swap parts between Exynos and snapdragon
had my note 3 n9005 for 10 years on android 5.0, upgraded last year to s23 ultra!
❤
I own a S20 FE 5g as my daily driver and i also have an S3 with Jelly Bean and i don't know how to upgrade to Android 13
My phone still use android 10.
I'm planning to upgrade phone this year but right now im using an oppo f9. I also have samsung note 9 which also use android 10, one ui 2 is my most favorite one ui in samsung but the latest one looks very nice
Jerry rig everything took apart Samsung S24 ultra with the pull tap quoting it was "Amazingly easy to remove" at 3:15 .
To me it seems like you don't have the brutal force to undo one battery. And as I have seen videos of you and Jerry rig everything. Let's just say, he has more muscle mass. To complain about the batteries adhesive being too strong, maybe it's just you.

On android 6.0 here
i'm still using android 9 lmao
Android 9. On my pocoF1.
There are no Antenna wires ko unlike I found in many Latest Android phones after teardown them❤❤❤
Am i the only one who does not mind if a phone does not change in the outside like at all, if it looks okay? Samsung's current design is just looks natural/unoffensive, and if i want to make it look more unique, ill just get a case for it with the intended look. As long as its not straight up ugly, like the s20 was with that terrible camera array, i dont care if it looks the same every year.
Isn’t using outdated software without security updates an issue? For example your data protection etc. If not, I'll keep my phone as long as possible.
As your fellow BlackBerry KeyTwo user, I too am still using Android 8
I've always been curious – why are they gluing the batteries in the first place? What benefit is there or what necessity? I can imagine it might be risky for the battery to rattle but this can be easily alleviated with some cushioning. Why the glue and why so strong?
Not could. They can. It's will
Is Hugh a dumbass there seems to be 'A' and 'C' labels (can't see the 'B' label tho) besides the battery indicating which plastic needs to be removed before pulling the battery. The plastic labelled 'A' was not removed and held the battery from the left.
Running Android 8 on my almost 6 years old Sony Xperia XA1 plus smooth. Also equipt with a 256GB SD card 🙂
4:10 i love that little grunt you made, pull tabs are useless when the adhesive needs 3 megatons of force to remove
Samsung is really game, my new pretty face are Sony phones.
My phone uses android 10, still usable despite being 6 year old midranger (to some extent)
1:46 still using a Note8 – from what I'm reading it's 6yrs old by now, and runs Android 9.
These phones are so chunky yet the only reason the don't have a jack is because they want to sell dumb wireless earplugs.
