As someone who likes being a dark type trainer I 100% agree with Zizagoon-G it looks like it could be a starter the line works super well and it’s one of my favorite lines anyways so I’d always be down to choose it

My first goal in every pokemon game is to find a ralts and make it my new starter.
Fun fact, there is an exception to this. In Pokemon Go, you can pick between grass, water, fire, and electric. If you walk away from the starters repeatedly, you eventually unlock Pikachu. It is, in fact, real, and I have done it myself.

I'd go with rookiedee. Conviknight is my second favourite, after Murkrow (Why, yes I do like Corvids).
That being said. If we're going to allow for moveset changes, we can also allow for regional variants to fix the more egregious options.

Considering my starter for pretty much every game since I got back into the series is on this list, it's safe to say I'd pick that one. That being Shinx, which I trade in to any game I play these days to use as my defacto starter. Luxray is my favorite Pokemon, so I always make room for it on my playthrough teams. I love how well it fits as a starter too, it's a bit on the weaker side, but evolves a little sooner to make up for that.

Mikey, you missed Flabebe for the fairy type. I don't know if it meets the criteria, but I feel like it's the best option for the fairy starter. OR maybe i'm just dumb and missed you mentioning it.
