You guys are a treasure, both of you. I'd listen to you talk about the mating rituals of some obscure African worms. Loving your podcast.
May your Karma serve you well – btw: no matter how skilled and experience you are, after 40, well Genz is there to take your place !
Love the show. I love the clarity that joe brings to analysis of things like rabbit r1. I see mostly people poo pooing it as being a throw away product and one device to many, but Joe sees it for what it is: the agentic slave master over disperate interfaces and API's. Having an end-to-end agentic model that can learn in real time changes EVERYTHING.
Thanks for the little story about your mom bro
My guess is that AI is the reason for the Google layoffs! Google has massive internal AI development and can probably use that to replace a lot of jobs.
Your tales of the Google world are fascinating. TBH it has never sounded like the sort of place I would like to work at .. maybe too touchy-feely. In reality, do Tiger Teams exist in Google? These are teams of 1 to maybe 10 highly capable and aggressive staff who simply 'get things done'. They can be called Stormtroopers etc. Most of the firms I have worked at – including large high techs – have had a VERY aggressive culture … it works .. but is certainly not for everyone! How does that approach relate to Google's way of working?
corporate people saying fake ish? you dont say.
Great podcast thanks.
Love your podcasts
Google is damn near trillion dollar company that has to cut jobs. How does that make sense?
I'm assuming that the 360p video is because this just got uploaded. This is not the video quality I have grown accustomed. (LOL)
