  1. The diagonal speakers are a major improvement, giving stereo sound in both landscape and portrait orientation.
Stereo speakers on iPads was first introduced in 2012 with the first iPad Mini, with two speakers on the bottom edge (in portrait orientation). This gave stereo sound in the portrait orientation, which was the primary orientation for iPads at the time. The problem was you didn’t get stereo sound in landscape orientation.
In 2015, the first iPad Pro came with quad speakers and an official keyboard. This slowly shifted the primary orientation from portrait to landscape. Of course quad speakers work in both orientations, but all of the others iPads still don’t get quad speakers to this day.
The landscape speakers in the iPad Air 2020 solved one problem but created the other. Both speakers were on the left (portrait) or bottom (landscape) edge, so no stereo sound for portrait orientation.
Stereo sound for both orientations finally come to the iPad Air for this M2 generation.
The iPad Pros in fact have 8 speakers in total since 2018, a tweeter and a woofer at each of the 4 corners. If Apple markets the Pros as having 8 speakers, we should get 4 on the Air.
Finally, I want to see an X-ray for the 11 inch Air, to see if the diagonal speakers has been implemented there as well. (I don’t think Apple would do this. They are lazy as seen in the 10.9 inch screen size of the Air. It is still 10.9 inch according to the fine prints. It’s not 11.0 inch. They most likely would use the same non-diagonal speakers from the previous generation.)

  2. My iPad 6th gen has not been through a battery replacement program yet, and it is still holding up quite well around 4-5 hours of general using; surfing the internet, reading pdf etc.

  3. It's JUNK. Jerry Rig Everything snapped these in 3 seconds. The price in Australia is absurd compared what you can get better value on other products and again APPLE continue to make you buy expensive add on's. Conclusion, it is JUNK , a real TURD. Not even God can save it . Worst value for money of any product available at the moment. Maybe the less smart American's may buy it but as for my company it's banned and will not be even making the list on the end of financial year update's of company tech.

  4. i still dont get why people compare a stylus to the Apple pencil. The First is basically needed to operate the device and the latter is an accessory for drawing, not at all the same.

  5. I think the iPad Pro 13“ was missing a bit compared to this excellent teardown. I like that we got a view inside the pencil but there are just some parts missing that are in here for the Air. Nice work!
