I will disagree in this case, apple pays apps like instagram and things like that to keep their pictures with better quality, apple doesn't let you have full acess of you own phone (the inside folders for example), and create a entire place where the client is hostage, is not a nice garden, is a hole, for people with intrest in tech, sure is nice but

    The fact that one of my friends hate apple and still has to have a iphone to post on instagram his work, made him stop using his samsung completelly, not because the "grass is green in this garden" but is this or loose quality in his work

    i work as a digital artist, and a lot of friends and coworkers has to buy macbooks because apple pays adobe to make better on ios, while i refuse to switch, they all say that they hate to have to use this crap, but keep using because they dont want to make their job worse

    even with pixel smartwatch, works on EVERY android, making you be albe to use on 99% of the market, my galaxy buds works with my chinese crappy watch that works with my samsung phone, that works with my intel pc, that works with my xiaomi tablet

    while that, my friend that need an iphone to be able to work, has to have a macbook to be able to access his own phone, has to have a apple watch because the rest doesn't let you use other things

    so, in summary, is not that you are wrong, all this points is just free market, but when you see a phone as just a way to talk and have fun, yeah thats fine, but phones is a type of tool for work now, laptops too, and i hate being held hostage for a company that i trully dont want to use

  2. Apple is true monopolist, they not only built monopolies they like to make money on them… And to be honest I dont see hoe US is going to stop them… Like 20 bilion $ fine for apple is like speeding ticket for me, I am not happy about it but no problem…

The brand changed a ridiculous biz behavior aim for huge yearly additional charges and provide no more product quality and good user experience! Customer just pay the premium to get a worse service!
    Iphone Pro/Pro Max model display parts become short life consumer parts now, most of that will failure after about 14-18 months (just appear problem while out of warranty) that cost USD $350 to repair/replace the display unit to solve the no display issue, or user pay 50% cost to extend a year warranty, however the new parts may live for another 14-18months user have to pay additional cost for using the phone for 2nd or 3rd year or later on.

  23. Using these abstract no-meaning metaphors like "we have built a green luscious garden" are just like that, no-meaning.

    Money is the only answer here. Apple is not going to do any business decisions that helps other competitors go gain buyers. It would be stupid. If it means some anti-trust lawsuits (like the one DOJ brought against Microsoft in 90's), then so be it. They will come out healthy. Maybe they will have to make some tweaks here and there, but overall they will still be the dominant player (like Microsoft is in business and consumer desktop OS market).

    If other manufacturers were in the same position, they would act the same. Just that Apple won this race (at least for US market).

  25. Never understood the whole iMessage debate. All my phone have been iPhones only because of the video quality and the fact that I can post it on Instagram without it looking like a 3 fps pixel soup

I have an iPhone, and I hate iMessage, it is much worse then telegram/messenger/instagram, especially voice messages, and sending media, do not see any reason why it would be a wall for anything, I get annoyed when someone uses it for something else then sms because usually there are some kind of issues

  28. You didn't even mention iCloud, photos, contacts, notes, Apple Music, etc. I would have to migrate all my data from 10+ years of iPhone use if I wanted to switch to Andriod. Google Pixels look good

  30. I have a different watch based not on what it can do like the AW, but how long it can stay charged. I DON'T want to charge my watch every night. That's crazy. But it tells time, it receives notifications, weather, email, measures health vitals, etc. No bells and whistles but that's okay because I charge it every two weeks.

  31. I just wish the iPhone 14 would reliably auto-sync with a Garmin smartwatch. Apple smartwatches are great as long as you don't mind having to charge up your smartwatch every 24-48+ hours. Not a problem with many Garmin smartwatches that you charge once per week or longer.

  33. It's amusing because the majority of my family uses iPhones, and a new addition to the family through marriage has an Android. However, I find myself excluding him from group chats because it would switch the conversation to SMS from iMessage
