I spent yesterday digging into a boats electrical for too long. Heat must have gotten to me because the answer was simple and my brain refused to see that. I see that your garage door looks insulated? Was that a spray foam dealy?

The universe does some crazy things for me. This Video is a shining star ( i am still cleaning my garage by the way ) – i have a much lamer air compressor set up that you but it is in the same format. my air has ZERO cool stuff on it to get water out except for what the factory put on it. LOL So I will coming back here repeatedly because of forgetfulness and I want to get my shit right because I will be doing some painting at some point. ( I have a 78 CVCC 4 speed honda with all orig bs. EVEN HAS THE 12' WHEELS. lol ) and a shit ton of ancient thumpers i have collected. anywho! that little box you just showed is not something i would store away, needs to be front and center on my restore and test table as imeverlast is me. I do Audio, old school. and that would help with about every single problem I have ever had to work around for probably 27 years now. My Garage is a horrible mess because My Father in Law passed away and left us all his stuff, Then My Step father Passed away and left me all his stuff, The My 1st Father passed away and left me all his stuff. On Top of that, I already had an enormous amount of stuff. My grief and weird sense of being some kind of hoarder ( i say weird because I actually do let stuff go occasionally, I have been living since 2002 as my own boss , crazy i know ) has prevented me from getting my shit together. LOL i am currently trying to get my shit together. its embarrassing at this point. PLUS I really like new shit, and I don't have room for new shit. So I am like a hoarder hustler. LOL I know it will sell, if not today then in 10 years. LOl NEXT!

I could type pages on variable AC to DC power supplies = common use for now considered "old school" magnetic coil tattoo machines.(See my YT avatar for pic) Looks like the one you have has many turns on V & A dial = dial (25 turn potentiometer?) Appears it would go down to 0.01 V..??? …Very handy for testing/troubleshooting circuit board components…> Far as motorcycle fuel tanks > Do you have any recommendation on fuel tank sealer ? One of the known issues with oilhead era BMW with steel fuel tank = OEM tank sealer adhesion failure…BMW used (redish/brown primer color) sealant that starts to peel away in large sheets = possible for a large piece to wrap around fuel strainer sock on fuel pump which can park you…Read where some have just gotten rid of sealer & run without sealer if no leaks are detected…???

I still use my Dad's analog Parker Electric AC to DC power converter for a lot of what you mentioned (All hail the original Radio Shack of old!!! A true Temple of the Jedi) but never considered reverse electrolysis 🤔
Wrap your teflon tape on to the male threads in the same direction as you would screw on a fitting. It's the same rule of thumb for right handed vs left handed threads… or people.
