There's a massive difference between this deal and the Mudryk deal. Arsenal were practically in a one horse race for Mudryk but then out of nowhere Chelsea hijacked the deal with a bid Arsenal couldn't match. This Sesko deal is a 2 horse race and the only thing journalists have said about Sesko is "Arsenal and Chelsea are interested" and "Sesko is Arsenal's top priority". A reminder as well that currently Arsenal and Chelsea's boards right now are deciding on who they are going to sign, first choice, second choice and third choice in each position they want to sign. Then likely just before the Euros Arsenal or Chelsea will end up with their man.
I personally believe logically Sesko will go to Arsenal, Chelsea have a long history of terrible number 9's, they just sacked their manager because he didn't want to play the big names like Enzo Fernandez or Nkunku, Arsenal can offer him a better role/project and have a long history of developing young talents. Probably the reason journalists don't know who he's most likely signing for is because it hasn't advanced to that stage, neither team have put a bid in and the player hasn't decided on Leipzig, Chelsea or Arsenal. If he goes to Chelsea I'll be disappointed, I wasn't keen on the signing originally but it's warmed up to me but I also know that we'll more likely end up with the better signing than Chelsea.

As I recall, the issue with Mudryk wasnt the player but the clubs not reaching an agreement on the transfer fee/structure. Shouldnt be an issue in the case of Sesko since Arsenal can trigger his release clause
