Howe awesome. Such a great work 😘😘
Merry Christmas mate another outstanding job looking forward to the next vid 👍
Acetylene torch is 100% the way to go.
All Hail The Algorithm
Like the matching emblem “M”’s on the bench bolt heads.
I thoroughly enjoy your videos every time you post, gives me more curiosity and a little more confidence in making my own little trinkets and makeshift tools for fabrication projects and jobs. Keep up the great work and good luck with your dream lathe.
These videos always make my day
Why is the software subscription based?!
Does NO ONE simply sell CAD software?!
Hi~.
At what degree and for how long is it recommended to bake in the oven after heat treatment?
Excellent!
When are there going a bunch of little ones running around begging to learn machining and inherit the shop?
Subscribing to your channel is one of the best things that I've done this year, your videos always make me feel better about my attention deficit disorder haha I thought that I had a lot of side projects
I’m shocked you or anyone for that matter is using an HP printer.
You Sir are right there with Keith Adom Winky and Mr Pete keep up the great work machining and video, your Grandfather is proud
You need to make a eureka tool to make the relief on the tap blank…. It’s for making involute gear cutters, but also works on making taps and any other cutting tool… and is a good side project…
Great video, merry Christmas 🎄
Having been subscribed to blondihacks since before you made your channel, it's so cool to see that you also watch her. Great stuff man, happy holidays. 👍
Man, I swear I have like 1/4" of lash on my compound. I know it can't be nearly that but it sure looks like it sometimes. I hope mine can be adjusted… Just shows how much I know my machine. I love your work. Super clean.
Man, I’m always so excited to see how your brain processes operations. The custom tap was brilliant. And so well executed too!
I opted for single point with a custom internal threading tool for my Acme 5 TPI on 17mm lead screw. I think it’s a rule written somewhere in the lead screw engineering manual that they must share metric and imperial, and must use a randomly odd thread pitch.. haha
I wonder if one would benefit from sitting down and running the math to see if the same results could be achieved using a standard size Acme thread vs these odd ball sizes.. ? 🤔
Well, I just realized.. I have enough projects and enough math to do so odd ball it is.. lol 😂
Now to add to my list a new project I have mysteriously found the urge for.. who doesn’t need a overly large custom 5C collet block set ! 😊
I ran a grinder that had micro capabilities and the parts that came off it were bonkers precise.
На Вашому токарному станку передбачено заточку свердел? Яка марка станка, відео дуже сподобалося, особливо мітчик 1 та 2 номер .
The I Board was genius 😂
I don’t understand why you need this lathe because it’s more accurate when clearly it has more defects making it less accurate
How did you produce the parts of the lathe when you needed the lathe to produce the parts?
Making the replacement parts successfully was very impressive, but I think all the side projects helped make for a great video.
I cant wait to see what you do next with this lathe restoration.
More brilliant content! Any reason why you could not have use a "standard" ACME thread here? I am thinking one where you COULD buy the tap and die? OR maybe even one where you could have bought a high quality threaded shaft and turned down the features you need? Yeah, I know a bit of bad look for a machining channel, but at very least the standard tap and die?
Sir, you make this look so easy that I now have a false confidence I can do go stuff myself. Well done sir!
Nice work, does the dial indicator on the lathe need to be recalibrated at all? Or is your thread pitch absolutely exact to the original
6 side projects and no box of shame? You're improving!
Careful switching gears on the lathe you might open the portal to Tony's shop.
I’m glad i waited till the Sunday before Christmas to watch this video, having breakfast on a Sunday morning listening to Brandon talk and make new tools while fixing a tired old tool… now I don’t need anything from Santa hehe. Merry Christmas Brandon and behind camera wife! Thanks for all the fun videos you guys made and those many more to come!
This is why everyone needs at least 2 lathes.
Incredible
I can honestly say I don't look forward to a new video on YouTube anywhere near as much as your channel. The content and format of what you produce is perfect.
