I notced that for the first time GM is advertising the Bolt. I think delaying the conversion of the plant for trucks is being delayed an the Bolt will become a compliance vehicle. Great car though I have had 2.
My major issue with EVs is the inability to maintain the battery by replacing modules or cells. Most batteries require a complete battery replacement, which can be prohibitively exprnse if out of warranty.

A stick in an EV is like the first iPhone programs whose programmers tried very hard to mimic the look and feel of old-school computers and hardware. In the end…it feels silly…and is complicating the drivetrain and offering NO benefit, other than that of ICE loving folks who resist change. The first cars looked like horse drawn carriages too…

Toyota speaks with many voices. That battery plant was originally proposed with 4 hybrid battery lines and 2 BEV lines. A few days ago the changed it to 4 hybrid lines and 10 BEV lines.
