  1. This is the reason why Trump like many uneducated followers because they believe on his policies especially the famous tariffs. Wait till they can’t buy a house because Trump will imposed tariffs on the raw building materials besides consumer goods. When I went to Costa Rica and was shopping I found that local made goods are far less cheaper than goods that came from India or China or anywhere else because of the added tariffs tax. Wait till these MAGAs buy cars that are not American made. Trump mentioned 20% during the debate, Ouch that’s going to hurt. Its good thing I like GM cars😂

  2. I am not an American, but it is evident that when the words of a fool are taken as those of a logical, sane person, the results will be disastrous. Does anyone remember the beautiful wall Mexico was going to pay for? All made in America. In my country, we have Nigel Farage and the sorry results of Brexit.

  3. I've been thinking recently about how tariffs could be explained to the American people in a way they can understand. I think we need something in a children's book format, or a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

  4. And if the result is that the countries who expirt to the US also put tarrifs on goods coming from the US you have a all out trade war. And that would be a disaster for the world economy. So Trump claiming he is against war is inciting a trade war. And history learns that this could end up as a real war. But Trump knowing history sounds unbelievable.

  5. I always learned at school that putting high tarifs on imported goods is a way to become an isolationist country. Mostly nationalist presidents did this out of protectionism policy and force the exporting countries to get higher prices on their products which resulted in domesticly produced goods to get sold easier to US consumers. So totally against the free trade practises the GOP always touted.

  6. Remember when the NYT sold the American people on Cheney’s illegal invasion of Iraq based on a lie? I haven’t trusted the NYT since 2003. They’re dirty. Just trying to stay alive. What a rag it’s become.
