Wanted to let you know this video was an immense help, thank you! Had this exact model here that needed a new screen installed. Bought one for about $60 on eBay, searched for a few videos, and found this one matching the exact AN515-54 I was working on. Used the first half of the video to rip apart the laptop and test the screen, then I was able to work backwards on my own.
My new screen didn't have any double sided tape, but I was able to make use of most of the factory tape and get the new screen reinstalled. Laptop is now back to the original owner and they're INCREDIBLY happy with the results! I noticed a slight imperfection of my own doing, the screen isn't 100% aligned, but the original owner doesn't care at all about that. Especially since the labor was free 😛
