  1. I also thought in the past : no capacitor no short. But at such step down convertor, without capacitor you can actually burn a lot. Had to replace 3 capacitors and the chip itself. All got burned after removing a shorted capacitor.

Should have learned from this video first 😊

  2. Can anyone explain to me what he means by saying that the capacitor can't be removed and has to be replaced? What's the difference between input and output capacitors and that capacitor specifically?

  3. Thank you for the tip, Sorin!
It looks like my Legion (mine is Intel 😁).
By the way, you still have the second part of the video, which I fixed it on your way. In case you decide to publish it, you'll find it in the email I sent you. I still have it but I'm not gonna publish it 👍.

  4. This guy is an impostor, is not the real Sorin!!! This guy is changing capacitor on the 3.3V, no way…real Sorin never change a capacitor!!! is kidnapped!!! Please call the police….

  5. Your videos make me think old-school mechanic meets computer repair. There are new and older techniques that are great to combine especially when some get lost because of too much modern equipment, like a map vs a navigation system

  6. Nice video Sorin! Just had one in the shop two days ago with that chip burnt (SY8288RAC) unfortunately when I removed the heat sink the board had two mosfets missing and burnt layers. Somebody sold it as “it just stopped working”😁
