Very informative, lots of info to digest. One suggestion for the app devs: allow an in-app search function for luts. Currently the luts are grouped by Lut, Creator, Movie, and Still, but there is no way to search for a specific lut in any of those groupings. Also, since these luts are based on the jpeg Photo Styles, it would be very helpful to be able to search for a lut by a specific Photo Style, which would help users to learn how to get more consistent "look" results when shooting in a particular Photo Style. For instance, if the camera is set to shoot RAW + FINE, and STD is selected for the Photo Style, they can soon learn how all the luts based on the STD profile will look out-of-camera. Conversely, If someone shoots in the Natural Photo Style but selects a lut based on the STD Photo Style, the results may not be "optimal" or consistent, since that lut was meant to be used with an image shot in STD. Just my two cents as a former Fuji shooter who shot customized Film sim recipes based on specific Fuji jpeg film simulations. Panasonic Photo Styles perform the same function as Fuji's film simulations do (both are the in-camera jpeg profiles), and Panasonic's Luts are essentially analogous to a Fuji film sim "recipe" (customized jpeg settings in-camera). The advantages Panasonic has are a MUCH better app experience than what's on offer from Fuji, and more possibilities of ooc "looks" for both stills and video.
@lumixusa Question : where is the double exposure on the G9ii ? i had it on the G90 but seems it's gone on the g9ii !
When I connect with tether, the AF Point Scope function doesn't work. I hope the company will fix this issue because for me, this function is very important for achieving much more accurate focus when shooting.
@LumixUSA Can confirm that the G9ii has an eye-tracking autofocus issue with Great Blue Herons in particular. I’ve taken hundreds of photos of them, and it will often count any dark spot on their back as the eye.
(With that said, I super love the camera and that’s been the main wildlife quirk I’ve seen.)
@LUMIX USA on G9II is there any way to set a different AF Area for AFS and have a different one be set in AFC vs the selection carrying over when switching between AFS & AFC ?
can or will mp4 lite come to the gh7 g9 and other newwer generation s series cameras? i think this will be great for houses of worship that want to have higher quality stories uploaded to their intagram and tiktok without editing in almost realt time, rather than using a cell phone for live content update if they so choose to use this workflow
HEIC is dead already due to licensing costs – better look at open/free standards like AVIF or JPEG XL..
@LUMIX USA At 29:40 – My (clearly false) assumption would have been that the camera only would save RAWs to the SD card but sends JPGs to the tablet/phone.. Why doesn't the camera auto convert to JPG when sending as JPG is selected in it's menu?? Also: no error message on the cam or phone for the "false" setting either – not the way this should work..
@LUMIX USA: I know you can't talk about future updates coming. But updates for older, but still sold cameras like the G91 are very welcome. Especially object detection modes, like bird, human and so on.
@ lumix USA: Live composite is also great for capturing lightning. 🤩 Just start the camera and let it run until you catch the picture you want
@LumixUSA My time lapse didn't save on my s5iix. It was cycling through taking images and then my battery died, which I swapped out for a fresh battery. I then stepped away for a while and when I returned the process was completed. However, the option to save it was not available. Is there some way to recover the time lapse?
been using the S9 on loan for a week now and I LOVE it. Definitely, definitely would love some more pancake lens options. Something faster than the f8 26mm. The s primes feel clunky for how nice and compact the s9 is. Thanks! Love all you do at Lumix
I totally use Real Time LUT to scan film negatives. Its one of the reasons I bought the GH7.
The JPEGs are "positive" SOOC, and if you shoot RAW you can even adjust the backing colour somewhat with white balance adjust.
when will the s5m2 get access to lumix lab?
Any way to submit feature requests? I am just wanting a couple anamorphic desqueeze options…for one the addition of a either a 1.6x or custom desqueeze would be great and I would love to be able to use desqueeze in photo modes.
Even if you include "3rd party" there is mayyybeee the Sigma i-Series line for compact lenses, and even then they are not that compact. For the S9 we NEED some real AF pancake lenses. Nikon seems to have no issue creating them.
Lumix really is due for some new S series lenses, the 24-70 S Pro is over 5 years old now and showing it's age, especially in weight, still no 2.8 S Pro wide-angle zoom, no AF pancakes
Whenever a few video comes out you know theres a firmware update coming 😅🤞🏾
@LUMIX USA
thanks again for the informative stream and lab walkthrough! Very helpful

For birds in flight especially those flying towards/away, how should AFC Custom settings be setup to acquire bird faster without losing the lock-on setting after it does. Any tips to get the camera to acquire faster and not lose bird when it leaves the AF area box before a lock-in is established ? Thank you.
