  1. Commenting on around 47:00 minutes in: I've used both Panasonic and Olympus M43 cameras. With the previous Panasonic models I've used, the OOC JPEGs were pretty nice. I didn't find noise reduction to be too high. The best part was the color profile. I had slightly customized the white balance and found it the best OOC JPEG color I've ever gotten from a camera. I absolutely loved that color and never could completely replicate it with RAW files I processed. I can't say if the latest cameras carry over this excellent color handling and white balance, but it was previously very good.

  2. @LUMIX USA: I am facing an issue getting the AutoTrack in the DJI RS4 mini to work correctly per the DJI x Panasonic LUMIX firmware update: it keeps panning left to right and back when AT is enabled tracking.. if it ever settles, it is after a long time.. it almost seems like it keeps switching from one eye to the other as anchor point of the track.. Is this something I am doing wrong? I made a short recording of it here: https://youtu.be/ iFAxFpi4bu0?si=U|2ot7RLauxZg4EJ

  3. When shooting in 4K at 30 or 50/60 FPS, the autofocus functions seamlessly on my Lumix S5iix. However, when I switch to 1080p at 50 or 60 FPS, the autofocus performance diminishes. Since I prefer using 1080p at 50 FPS for its lack of crop, this issue is quite frustrating. Could you please assist in resolving this issue or make a firmware

  4. Interesting decision Lumix chose to stuff the G9II into the S5 chassis, when a Lumix GH5III would have been more apropos. Aside from the features of the Lumix G9, people seemed to enjoy the top panel LCD. Lumix could have modified the S5 chassis design to accommodate a newer top panel LCD like a back lit OLED one.

I would seriously like to see a Lumix GH5III version like this new Lumix G9II, as I feel like the Lumix GH6 is a completely different animal, though I do like the articulation of the LCD screen.

As a person who is all in on Micro Four Thirds with a fairly nice sized collection of professional lenses, I just really believe the format has more to offer than just being a smaller sensor version of a full frame format.

I also feel there is a missed opportunity to reimagine the rear LCD screen on Lumix cameras as well as the battery grips too. The LCD could utilize more of its existing real estate without changing its current size by going edge to edge removing the outer borders.

The battery grips could have more functionality like integrating Arca-Swiss rails along the base edge and still keep the quarter-twenty thread too. Also, providing options to relocate ports or even add more useful ones (similar to DMW-YAGH functionality).

Even the OMD-E-M1X was interesting, I would have welcomed a Lumix option, as I currently have a GH4 | GH5 | GH5II all with battery grips, and contemplating a Lumix G9 plus battery grip too.

P.S. All cameras today should just be 10bit 4:2:2 at minimum, eliminate 4:2:0, and be more flexible with mbps option…

    🤔

  5. Just wanted to comment the suggestion again if by chance it gets across to the engineers and is actually possible: stitching together multiple telephoto shots (even just 9 of them or something, and only jpg output if that's what it takes) to get a wide FOV and a shallower depth-of-field than otherwise possible. It's a technique that's been around for a while: look up bokehrama or brenizer method to see examples and what goes into it. Thanks for the streams 🙂

  6. Very interesting stream, thank you. I learnd a lot about the new features, but still wait for a S-Series mainly for stills with a higher resolution than 24. Might be an S3, between S5Mark2 an S1R. Hope I will see something like this some day.
