Why on Earth doesn’t anyone just drop shot the serve against Medvedev? He’s so far back it’s ridiculous. One under-arm drop serve and he’ll have to start closer to the baseline where it’s harder for him to return the bigger serves.

Not sure why Dimitrov is trying to outrally Medvedev from the baseline. He is getting short balls but is content to just slice it back and let Medvedev back into the point, instead of attacking down the line.
Idk why Dimi stopped hitting his 1 hander, the slice is just not cutting it

Rune seems to be playing more mature and mentally resilient, good signs for him.
All the talk about no one-handed backhand in the top ten anymore and about OH being a handicap in modern tennis is getting oxygen when we look at the latest matches of Tsitsi and Dimitrov. There are no longer any player left like Federer who can show the other guys how to handle this shot on a consistantly basis. It seems like the players of today with OH have lost their confidence in that shot. Tsitispas seems to sometimes avoid it all together and try to hit forehands all over the court. In this match Dimitrov at least is trying to hit some top spin backhands but is apparently having a bad backhand day.
Why isnt monfils hitting hard as before?
