Isn't it reassuring to bury oneself in music on plastic? One almost forgets about everything else….
I love the passion of both of you, Michael and Michael! ✌❤

Great interview
A digital recording on a tube system – it’s a digital recording – that is the weak link
Great conversation. Thanks to both Michaels.
Fremer, I love ya man, but you gotta stop saying “Sea Changes.” The album is called “Sea Change,” like the phrase.
Take the following sentence as an example: “In recent years, there’s been a total sea change in the vinyl industry, which was once thought nearly dead.”
😊😅
Where in the USA can I buy one?
Just ordered this great vinyl.
Anyone got a opinion on the Une histoire de Mekanik boxset?
Fremers stories are fantastic, what a musical life he’s had. Thank you both for taking the time to make this video.
M&M of Vinyl. Great job. And best wishes with this new release Michael Fremer (my story telling uncle).
Before we go any further with the Mo-Fi bashing I have compared the Mo-Fi HC with DCC. It does sound good but agree it's different. I found it more expansive sounding with a focus on detail. It does have a unique EQ like a lot of their titles. Is it wrong because it's not a better version of the original cutting? Listener Decide! I still think it's a good listen so don't dismiss it or everything Mo-Fi out of hand. I too am not happy with the DSD sourcing BTW. I think Michael you now have a built in psychological negative bias. You were pushing Mo-Fi as great for years and ignored those telling you to check out the OGs!!!
I was a bit wary at first to watch this. A Michael, Michael love in. My hesitation was unfunded. Sensible, knowledgeable talk. Thank you.
I mean, I still think it is enjoyable to listen to Mr Fremer’s ideas and all – as long as he does not come up with his “I hear digital” bias while never doing blind shootouts. That is still the way to go as Steve Westman just proved again: https://www.youtube.com/live/bFJtkrwQZxw?si=3A0B1Hivz31I1q9p .
two guys I love
Sadly, they dropped the ball on the Waits reissues. Could have been really special.
Two Mike's..nothing better.
Great chat, thanks!
Michael all but confirming Who's Next UHQR
Rubinstein ?
Fremer can sell you a used car on concrete blocks! I'm sure it's an amazing record. Young talent should be praised. This is exciting because of Michael's enthusiasm.
Not everyone knows, reads, or watches Michael Fremer, nor follows his pronouncements, and those people would appreciate a SPARS code listing the technical data.
Listened to a few snippets of Caelan Cardello- very good! Reminds me a bit of Marcus Roberts- a dazzlingly brilliant pianist- at least in his earlier recordings and performances- who originally played with W. Marsalis, later forming his own band. For wonderful Roberts recordings, check out: In Honor of Duke, The Truth is Spoken Here, and Cole After Midnight (and there are other!). Only his earliest albums, though, were ever released on vinyl- but IMO he's perhaps the most extraordinary voice on piano to emerge in the past 40 or 50 years, with influences from Monk, Waller, Tatum, and others- but also his own distinctive style.
Though I could not watch the Live Stream, it is a pleasure to watch this in my home. I enjoy Michael Fremer's stories and his knowledge level in quite impressive. Will seek out your new record at Acoustic Sounds. Thank you Micheal for this video, and may have to watch it a second time,
legend. lmao the dude has full on tds
Michael, does your German pressing have STERLING (stamped) and LH (handwritten) in the runout grooves? Or does it have the following… WEA 7E-1084-A2XXX PF/WEA 7E-1084-B2XXX PF???
RED WHITE STRIPES STANDING OUT MICHAEL 45 !
I think Fremer is trying to remember Rubinstein's name. – someone in the live chat came up with it too…
I bought a vintage Japanese pressing of Rain Dogs yesterday ….sounds incredible.
Will you be visiting Uk Hi Fi Shows next year Mike Fremers ? would love to meet you
Great talk guys, can’t wait to hear all these records!
Fancy Opening! 🙂
Mofi redemption…😊
YOU NEED Mr. Fremer on more.
Can't wait to get my copy of the UHQR Aja. Fremer's mini-review sealed the deal. I have both the AA1006 (Santa Maria pressing), and the Cisco and they both sound great.
Hi Mike & Co Glad I found this new Live stream, too late to join Live so going to enjoy replay, last night was playing some Vinyl still love the sound, even the compilations sound amazing its not the same with digital. Look forward to purchasing a Copy .Transfer from Digital to Vinyl does cut the mustard when done well.
