  1. Fremer, I love ya man, but you gotta stop saying “Sea Changes.” The album is called “Sea Change,” like the phrase.

Take the following sentence as an example: “In recent years, there’s been a total sea change in the vinyl industry, which was once thought nearly dead.”

    😊😅

  2. Before we go any further with the Mo-Fi bashing I have compared the Mo-Fi HC with DCC. It does sound good but agree it's different. I found it more expansive sounding with a focus on detail. It does have a unique EQ like a lot of their titles. Is it wrong because it's not a better version of the original cutting? Listener Decide! I still think it's a good listen so don't dismiss it or everything Mo-Fi out of hand. I too am not happy with the DSD sourcing BTW. I think Michael you now have a built in psychological negative bias. You were pushing Mo-Fi as great for years and ignored those telling you to check out the OGs!!!

  3. Not everyone knows, reads, or watches Michael Fremer, nor follows his pronouncements, and those people would appreciate a SPARS code listing the technical data.

  4. Listened to a few snippets of Caelan Cardello- very good! Reminds me a bit of Marcus Roberts- a dazzlingly brilliant pianist- at least in his earlier recordings and performances- who originally played with W. Marsalis, later forming his own band. For wonderful Roberts recordings, check out: In Honor of Duke, The Truth is Spoken Here, and Cole After Midnight (and there are other!). Only his earliest albums, though, were ever released on vinyl- but IMO he's perhaps the most extraordinary voice on piano to emerge in the past 40 or 50 years, with influences from Monk, Waller, Tatum, and others- but also his own distinctive style.

  5. Though I could not watch the Live Stream, it is a pleasure to watch this in my home. I enjoy Michael Fremer's stories and his knowledge level in quite impressive. Will seek out your new record at Acoustic Sounds. Thank you Micheal for this video, and may have to watch it a second time,

  6. Michael, does your German pressing have STERLING (stamped) and LH (handwritten) in the runout grooves? Or does it have the following… WEA 7E-1084-A2XXX PF/WEA 7E-1084-B2XXX PF???

  7. Hi Mike & Co Glad I found this new Live stream, too late to join Live so going to enjoy replay, last night was playing some Vinyl still love the sound, even the compilations sound amazing its not the same with digital. Look forward to purchasing a Copy .Transfer from Digital to Vinyl does cut the mustard when done well.
