I was hosting the South Kesteven Amateur Radio Societty meeting today & decided there may be some interest i looking at a non-working 1990’s Moonraker power supply that our Mystery Benefactor Alan kindy sent in as a gift.

Cheap power cb power supplies an easy way to kill a radio if it goes faulty no protection of any kind you could make one better

I use a 3A black Bremi PSU to occasionally use a CB radio. It must be 40 years old. Should it still be safe to use or should I consider replacing it? I have visions of it catching fire one day!

Interesting repair had to laugh when they went bang I was looking for the smoke, I've got all those things to get when I set up again I might start buying some prior to moving property so that I've got everything when the time comes.
