What is one thing you wish the Portal had?
Bro ever since I moved into my new house on stronger wifi my portal won’t stay connected for long. It’ll connect for like 10 minutes giving choppy gameplay then disconnects from my PS5. I tried contacting my internet provider to turn off ipv6 but he told they already have it off 🤦🏽♂️
Portal Edge at extra cost could have paddels and OLED but no need to people who use normal controllers and thats 99% of us.
For the microstutter to be resolved. That's the only thing I want. So a screen that properly supports 59.94hz.
Why would anyone buy this over a Steam Deck or an ROG Ally? This thing cant play games on its own so its basically a giant rearview mirror

Im fine with out Netflix and stream videos as I would only pull the portal out when I can't be in the room my gf sister is staying in for now. Which is my gaming room. But I would love if they had the portal different colors like their ps5 controllers bc I love the purple one!

If they bring a new ps portal,, it would be a good idea just like nintendo switch if you get stick drift or it happend you crack the screen you can help yourself to buy repaire it yourself,, don't make the part expensive and sony is making alot of happy costumers/ new gamers

Every new peace of equipment they put out has been trash the portals and the new headset are huge let downs on Connection issues

Streaming tv/movies or music off your ps5 to another device will never happen, because it makes it easier to pirate media off another device, they have have drm stuff they can program at the app and hardware level to block people from recording but if you had it running on something they can’t touch externally it would be easier for people to make a copy. That’s been the case since ps3.
The problem with just using any old Bluetooth headphones while your streaming is for a lot of cases you will get audio delay.

God I’m tired of trying to explain this but here I go again it’s not about the speed it’s about the wifi coverage. The Portal only needs 15mb down and 5mb up to work that’s a very slow internet speed you don’t need wifi 6 it’s not about how fast the speeds are. People that are having issues with this thing probably have there internet setup all wrong probably using the 2.4ghz band that’s is sensitive to cross talk you really want to be on a 5ghz band. I bet you a lot are using there service providers modem with the built in wifi that they got shoved behind there couch or in a media cabinet. When you set everything up properly the Portal work absolutely flawless I have had none of the issue you all keep complaining about. Look into your own set up and clean it up upgrade it if you have to the Portal is not the problem it’s your dam internet setup.
@2:42 no, the Vita beat everybody to the punch. The Vita 1000 series had a OLED screen. But one thing Sony said was the Portal eventually will have cloud streaming which id perfect for the Portal, this is one of the things I want from the Portal. Also the ability to change the resolution for a better connection.
Hello, I'm a new subscriber! I just saw your PS5 Slim videos of having it 24 hrs and 1 month. I was wondering if you will be making another update about it on how game performance is going and how much dust has collected over time. I'm thinking about trading mine OG PS5 for the Slim since it's smaller to fit on my gaming setup and if something was to happen with the disc drive, I can easily replace it without having to replace the whole thing. I would gladly thank you for this. Much love brother!
i returned mine the fps stuttering ruined it for me meanwhile my pixel 8 pro ps5 streaming is working perfect without anything.
No OLED screen, no Bluetooth, no streaming apps, no web browser, and no edge controller version. No DOLO’S MONEY 💰 . Been thinking the same things. Go in on Sony my brother 👏.
Better WiFi connectivity- constant lag spikes, rubberbanding and low quality visuals
Better Pulse elite connectivity- it constantly disconnects and I get high pitched buzzing from time to time
OLED Screen- they’re cheap and they’re the best available
More functionality- it’s just a screen mirroring device and it barely handles that
I definitely regret buying this and the Pulse Elites. It’s like they’re not even trying. Figure it out Sony!
Bruh, we don't need anything else but cloud gaming. All the things you're listing will augment the price. We're not all SNOBS like you. You guys spend too much time complaining. With phones, tablets, or the like, what real need is there? It was made to mirror the PS5. Why are there always these content creators exhibiting the hubris enough to think they know more than these billion dollar companies? Let me tell you, if you don't buy their next offering, they'll not go out of business. Sony needs to do whatever is necessary to sustain their company.
To me the only thing they really need is cloud gaming for the portal. 😂😅
I don’t need streaming app on my portable game device. Screw that and Sony no we real gamers don’t need Netflix or anything else on my game device. That why we have phones. 😅

To be honest the existing screen is very good – an OLED is not needed for playing games on the screen of that size. It would be overkill and push the price up but there’s plenty of suckers out there with more money than sense and so I can see it happening.
Why would you want to connect a controller to a "Controller Screen device". Makes no sense. It's not like the Switch where you need to Dock it and then use your Bluetooth controller. No need for a Web Browser, use your phone/tablet to do this. It's not a Vita/PSP. Paddles on the back is niche for people. They can be annoying for the majority of people that own a PS5 Controller. I agree with Joysticks size (also maybe fix that notch issue as well). Allow a usb to ethernet adapter option for better streaming. The other stuff I agree on.
I’m sorry that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard is that the portal needs to be able to stream Netflix and TV shows no that’s what cell phones and tablets and iPads are for and TVs now the one thing the portal can do is stream the games that people pay the extra money for like premium.
They should add the joystick module replacements like the duel sense edge controller, stick drift is garbage
Wi-Fi 6 is better but why not add a Ethernet port so we can connect with no lag and can still travel without bringing a big console. Just add a port and wifi 6 but def a Ethernet port

Out of this whole list, all we REALLY NEED is cloud gaming. That's the thing that won't affect the price of the current device and they won't need to release another. Plus, the biggest benefit there is to Sony as a business. Maybe they have to redo the current pricing structure of cloud gaming or improve their cloud gaming servers. But adding cloud gaming to the Portal would be a game changer for the device, and PS+, for sure
Bro, I bought this yesterday and it won’t connect to my ps5. I tried resetting my ps5, portal and router. It still won’t work for me. I’m about to return this trash.
Cloud gaming is the only reason why I didn't buy this device. It doesn't make sense to have the portal and my PS5 in one house if I can't travel with it. And even if they did add cloud gaming it's far from perfect with the internet connection.
