I just love your videos always learn something and some great ideas to improve my work flow 😀
Nice video. Thanks! One quick question: What is the optimal format for a drive being used on an M4 iPad Pro but also connecting to an M-series Mac?
The bump in price for 1 TB storage not only includes storage but also a non-binned processor (extra core) and twice the memory (8 GB vs 16 GB, if memory serves). So regardless of my storage needs, I'm still buying the 1TB model. That’s not to say that AAPL's prices for storage are not outrageous, just that there is more to the decision than storage alone.
Enjoyed the vid… currently use the Belkin thunderbolt hub, helps to add more functionality.. plug a monitor and external storage.
I got a way better solution than all that stuff. I will post a video later.
Great overview. Thanks for sharing 😊
I'm still not decided for SSD"s but I bought HDD's for archive storage. I"ve went for 5x 20TB OWC MiniStacks, they nicely fit my Mac Mini setup and having 100 TB storage for that price is amazing.
Have you ever thought about doing a BTS of your setups. That would be nice for those who are just getting started.
I love video so much keep it up
Excellent video! I thought I had made a mistake in purchasing a low storage iPad option but I found that I can export my projects directly to an ssd!
There’s a faint buzzing sound when you speak that sounds like an artifact of compression.
Your ad with Kamala is pretty poor taste… can you adjust that out?
OWC 10GBE to a nas that has super fast nvme drives and a ram cache, it's easy. built myself.
The iPad being able to use hubs is a game changer. I use an anker multi hub. 1 cable plugged in gets me my samsung 27 inch display and all of my instruments/music interface for music production. When i just want an iPad feel or portability i unplug the 1 cable and im free or just use my magic keyboard. Barely ever touch my mac these days
I edit in Lumafusion and I just started doing my A roll on my iPhone 14 Pro but in 1080. Lately I’ve been doing some edits using old video from Google Photos and elsewhere… so I throw everything on a SanDisk Extreme 500GB SSD and work from there. That covers the bases for me but as my YouTube channel is growing I’m starting to work on multiple videos, so I need to get some more storage. I think I’ll get another SanDisk Extreme as I love the form factor and all the rest. I also have a hub but it’s getting flaky, so new hub time! Thanks for all the great tips Chris!
As always, an awesome video delivering tons of great information in a pleasant and efficient way.
